You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject your filed federal tax return. If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again. If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 12 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-current-year/L7eS6o1qh_US_en_US?uid=lfunevhk

Casualty and Theft losses are not reported on a tax return unless they occurred in a federally declared disaster area and were not for a business.

Does the IRS website indicate the tax return has been issued and sent? - https://www.irs.gov/refunds   If so, did you request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund?   If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the $40 service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the $40 service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return. For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/ Tax Products Group Contact Information - https://help.sbtpg.com/hc/en-us/articles/230084587-Contact-Information Call 1-877-908-7228 Or email - TPG-CSsupport@greendotcorp.com
I’m experiencing the same thing… filed 2/16 and still shows pending. Wasn’t sure if maybe the govt shutdown affects anything…
@dixiegibson  Or is it this? Are you using the desktop software you purchased but are asking about the $25 state efile fee in the desktop product?

@ dixiegibson  wrote:  "I paid for turbo tax a Costco.com and now turbo tax says I have to Pay again"   Underneath your question there is a tag that says "TurboTax Online."  Costco only sells a license code for desktop TurboTax.   Did you use Online TurboTax by mistake instead of downloading, installing, and using the desktop software you purchased?    Or are you using a Windows 10 computer, and therefore, could not install the software, so you tried to use a special migration offer you received to move from desktop TurboTax to Online TurboTax?   If you have either a Windows 11 computer (or a Mac OS Sonoma 14 or higher), we can tell you how to switch from Online TurboTax to the desktop software you purchased.      You may have other options, but so far we don't know your full story--mainly how you ended up in Online TurboTax and what computer operating system you are using..

It does not work. The pop up works and shows the options to link. When you select and hit the Link button, the name pops up but doesn't populate. So it is a software issue. Don't care about the worksheet working. Care about being able to file electronically. This problem has been obvious for weeks. Hard to understand why Turbo Tax hasn't fixed unless they aren't competent to fix their own software which creates a whole new level of questions about the efficacy of their approach.
