Go back where you entered income and check the state section of the form. You probably misplaced a decimal point or entered a comma in the section for state income taxes withheld.

Start by double checking the amounts you entered for boxes 16 and 17 of any W-2's and look for misplaced decimals and/or extra zeros.

Your QCD is reported on a form 1099-R.
You can enter your form 1099-R by following the instructions in this TurboTax Help article.
While entering your form 1099-R, if you have entered a birth date which makes you older than 70 1/2 in the tax year, TurboTax will ask you if any portion of your distribution was transferred to charity. Answer Yes to that question and you can then enter the amount transferred to charity.
The code in box 7 of form 1099-R must be 7 and the box IRA/SEP/SIMPLE must be checked.
TurboTax will then reduce the taxable amount by the amount transferred to charity.

Still thoroughly confused - I've read and reread both your instructions and the link many many times. You indicate "Any repairs should be included as an expense on rental activity. Also if you have a passive loss carryover see the instructions below to be sure it's accounted for in the year of sale in full." There are no passive loss carryovers. As to the repairs - they were all expenditures for the preparation of sale and were incurred after the tenant vacated; i.e., hiring a contractor to replace a bathroom floor, repair to HVAC system, etc. Are you indicating those amounts should be entered on the section of the Step-by-Step where I previously included those costs when the property was tenant occupied? If not, where? I understood those amounts are considered as expenses of sale that I would add to the closing costs. Since I'm having such a tough time - would it make sense to attempt to skip ahead to the Sale of Business Property before completing the Depreciation Section? Would that possibly make it more understandable or does that affect the calculations. Just grasping at straws here.

Here is how to enter this carryback amount in your 2024 return, since you are working on it.
Go to the forms mode
Locate the Form 1116 Comp Worksheet in the return. There should be one there if you had foreign income to report in 2024.
If you do not have one, go to open form in the forms menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
Type 1116 in the search bar and then select it when it appears.
Go to part 111 Line 10. Click on the box and there should be a magnifying glass that appears. Select that.
That will take you to the Form 1116 Comp worksheet to line 10 and you may enter the carryover amount here.
If the result of the carryback is $0 (because you had no foreign income), the IRS generally does not require you to file a 1040-X just to "prove" the carryback failed. You simply document the sequence for your own records.
The remaining carryovers will now be carried forward for ten years, starting with tax year 2026.

You enter your casualty loss for actual damages from Hurricane Helene in the Deductions and Credits section of TurboTax using the instructions provided below. Hurricane Helene was declared a federal major disaster, making it a qualifying event for special tax relief and casualty loss deductions. To get to these screens in TurboTax you can: Click on Search in the upper right of your TurboTax screen Type casualty loss in the search bar Click on the link Jump to casualty loss Continue through your TurboTax screens and answer all of the follow-up questions to report your casualty loss from Hurricane Helene Things to keep in mind: Only losses from a federally declared disaster are generally deductible for personal property, unless you have casualty gains. You will need the FEMA disaster code number to complete your entries. It starts with DR and the rest is specific to your location. You will also need the property's cost basis, insurance reimbursements, and fair market value before/after the event. The IRS requires you to use the lesser of your property’s tax basis or the decrease in fair market value to determine the deductible amount of your casualty loss. In most cases, your tax basis is equal to the amount that you originally paid for your property. Deductible property loss: Once you have determined your actual loss, you must then reduce it by $100. This $100 reduction is applied to each separate casualty event.
