Again, I receive a monthly payment from retirement in my native country. I understand that I have to report that amount, but I don't know where to go to do that.

Gambling winnings are taxable income. Losses are an itemized deduction. If you do not have enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction, your losses will have no effect.

That’s probably the question when you entered Social Security. Go back through the Social Security questions. There is a screen asking if you lived in a foreign place. People have been answering it wrong or skipping it. And it is for each spouse. Federal Taxes Wages and Income Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start or Revisit button

@AnnetteB6 I think I get it: under the simplified expense method, the IRS limits the home office deduction to no more than net income, with no carryover to future years (perhaps otherwise lots of people would have large NOLs). On the other hand, purchasing new equipment could (in principle) lead to an NOL that one could carry over. If I've got it, many thanks!

Look under Additional Deductions (Schedule 1-A). This is where the deduction will appear.
There may be other deductions listed here, but if the amount is at or over $6000, then, in all likelihood, your senior deduction is reported on your return.

I originally answered this question yes "Did you install improvements or replacements for enabling property"
but I can't find the QMID code and my service installer doesn't have it.
Now I'm unable to file because I can't say NO to the form. I am unable to clear out the "dummy data" I entered on the second screen if I say NO, and the second page won't let me submit it cleared out.

Did you look at the actual 1040? What is on line 13b? See my screenshot. Can you post a shot of your 1040? Use the camera icon in the format bar at the top of the reply box.

If you would like to send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information it would help. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: (Don't forget to give us the state)
TurboTax Online:
Open your return -Go to the menu panel on the left side of your return and select Tax Tools.
Then select Tools below Tax Tools.
A window will pop up which says Tools Center.
On this screen, select Share my file with Agent.
You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is. Click okay through this screen and then you will get a Token number.
Reply to this thread with your Token number and your state. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.
TurboTax Desktop:
If you like, you can send a copy of your return that will be scrubbed to eliminate your personal data by using these steps:
Click on Online in the top left menu of TurboTax Desktop for Windows
Select 'Send Tax File to Agent'* > Follow the prompts to reach the token number.
Enter your email used for TurboTax > Enter your code > Send
Write down or send an image of your token number and state then place in this issue.
We can then review your exact scenario for a solution.
Please also tell us any states included in the return. This is necessary for us to view the return.
*If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, 'Send Tax File to Agent')
We will be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return to provide you with a resolution.

@RobertB4444 Seeing how many comments you have, it would appear you indeed do have an issue. I am not interested in buying the desktop version just to resolve this. When I go to edit the Schedule F it gives an error. Token 1327819 Everytime I go to edit and update the Schedule F it simply says "Something Went Wrong". If you would like to see this happen live, let me know. I have cleared my cache, i have tried 3 different browsers. I downloaded the desktop software that correlates to my online system, but it says I need to pay and activate first. I am not interested in paying for the software again after having paid y'all multiple times in the past online.

My 1099R shows the amount distributed from my IRA. The IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is checked. Part of this distribution was my RMD for 2025. The remainder was rolled over to another qualified IRA. Despite this the total distribution amount is showing up as taxable IRA distribution on TurboTax. I contacted credit union who holds the IRA rolled over and they indicated they have had similar inquiries from others and advised contacting TurboTax. Thank you
