This article will help you download any data you had in ItsDeductible (if used previously or during the year before it was shut down in October).
There will be a new tool that replaces ItsDeductible and its expected to be available the end of February or beginning of March. This is just an estimate and I would assume we will find out more as time goes on. At this time, this is all the information we were given.

I learned that using Turbotax Basic, the new Senior Deduction shows up as a Qualified Business Expense. However, if I switch to Deluxe, it appears properly as the Senior Deduction. I switched back to Basic and appears as a QBI. I wnat to be sure my return is filed properly. Can this be corrected in the software?

I transmitted my returns and they were rejected because I did not address a 1095 form. I went in and fixed the error and went back to transmit forms. It says "Transmitting" for a few seconds then the program just closes. When I check the status it still says rejected. I went to the IRS website and they have no record of my returns. How do I fix this so I can transmit my returns.

I registered an LLC (single member), my wife as the owner and me as the manager 2 years ago. We never actually opened due to lack of funding. We had no expenses, employees, or income, but had always hoped we would get things moving to open. Long story short things did not materialize; we dissolved the LLC in 2025 with the state of Oregon and due to no actual activity, we have never filed any sort of tax forms. I'm seeing conflicting information on whether I need to file some type of final tax return, such as Schedule C with $0 and mark it as final. Bottom line, do I need to fill out any tax forms for the LLC? I sent a letter to the IRS notifying them already that it is dissolved and the EIN should be closed or inactive. Thank you

I completed and went over my information numerous times to make sure everything was entered correctly. However, on the Federal Review page it won't let me continue to review because it says these tax forms are not available yet for review. I don't understand what is going on. I never had this issue before. Please help!

Did you already e-file? If you already e-filed you cannot cancel it. If you have not e-filed yet, explain why you think it is not correct so someone can try to help.

According to the website for this program, the rebate is applied for when you buy the car at the dealership - the car dealer will then take the rebate off the purchase price of the car. Do you mean the new "senior deduction?"
The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO. You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.
The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. Turbo Tax automatically includes it.

Working on my 2025 taxes. Form 8995 shows $14 of Qualified REIT dividends (which equates to $3 of business income deduction), but none of my 1099s show any amount in box 5. Is this a glitch?

You can change the email address associated with your account through your account settings.
Intuit uses a single sign in system for all Intuit products, so changing it here will also update it for any other Intuit products you use, such as QuickBooks or Credit Karma.
To Change Your Email Address:
Select Intuit Account located in the lower-left corner of your screen (near the Sign Out button).
On the Account Manager page, select the Sign in & security menu.
Select the Email address section.
Enter your new email address and then enter it again to confirm.
Enter your current password when prompted to verify the change.
Select Save.
Check your new email inbox for a verification link from Intuit and click it to finalize the update.
If you can't sign in at all, you can go to the Intuit Account Recovery page. This requires you to upload a photo of a government-issued ID to verify your identity.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURNS !
EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
