Enter the amounts from your Form 1099-DIV in the corresponding boxes in TurboTax, just as they appear on the 1099-DIV that you received from the financial institution. The qualified dividends in 1099-DIV box 1b are included in the total ordinary dividends in box 1a. Just enter the amounts exactly as they appear on the 1099-DIV. TurboTax will report them correctly on your tax return.

Yes, you absolutely can decline the offer to get the refund up to 5 days faster.  There is a fee for the service.   If you paid for Early Tax Refund:   Your federal tax refund will be deposited to your selected bank account 5 days before the refund settlement date provided by the IRS (the date your refund would have arrived if sent from the IRS directly).    The receipt of your refund 5 Days Early is subject to IRS submitting refund information to us at least 5 days before the refund settlement date. IRS does not always provide refund settlement information 5 days early.    You will not be eligible to receive your refund 5 Days Early if (1) you take a Refund Advance loan, (2) IRS delays payment of your refund, or (3) your bank’s policies do not allow for same-day payment processing. 5 Days Early fee will be deducted directly from your refund prior to being deposited to your bank account. If your refund cannot be delivered 5 Days Early, you will not be charged the 5 Days Early fee. 5 Days Early program may change or be discontinued at any time.   If you signed up for the early refund promotion, and your federal refund is deposited into your selected bank account less than 5 days before the IRS refund settlement date (the date it would have arrived if sent from the IRS directly), then you will not pay the 5 Days Early fee. A Claim of Right repayment over $3,000 allows you to get back the taxes you paid on income from a prior year that you were later required to pay back. You can either deduct the repayment in the current tax year or you can take a tax credit for the year of repayment, whichever provides the biggest tax benefit to you.   For example: You would qualify for this if you have included in income in a prior year an amount of unemployment benefits. You thought you were entitled to this income. However, you later it was determined you were not entitled to the unemployment benefits so had to repay them. This allows you to get a credit for this income that you ultimately repaid.   The repayment must be more than $3,000.

Have you run the Federal Review and error check?   And have you also run the state review? Have you also tried efiling the Federal return by itself first?   Also are all your Oregon state forms up to date and available?  You can check here: TurboTax Form Availability Tool     @ CatinaT1      Has there been any more word on this efiling roadblock error message?  Previously I think others in this thread had a problem with a Minnesota form, but this user is filing Oregon.  I've asked them to look at the OR forms availability list.

Sorry there are no more CDs.   The download is better.   And most computers don’t have a CD drive anymore.   Since you now have to log into an Intuit Account to install it all your downloads and licenses are listed there (even if you bought it from somewhere else) so if you need to download to install it again or install on another computer, even on the other operating system (Windows, Mac).  And the download will always be up to date with all the updates.

Q. Does one need a 1098-T against a 1099-Q for paying off a daughters student loan? A. No.   After entering the 1099-Q  and following the interview, you will reach a screen "Student information summary" (or maybe "Non-dependent Student information summary", depending on how you answered the beneficiary question). Click on the pencil (edit) symbol.  That will give you additional screens, including one to enter the loan info.   There is an alternate entry point in the 1098-T interview.  That may be why it appears that TT requires a 1098-T.  No. You can enter it in the 1099-Q section, instead (and it's more logical to do so).
