If your payroll department utilizes one of the TurboTax import partners you should be able to import the W-2.  However, you will need to know the EIN, the amount in box 1 of the W-2 and the Control Number in box d of the W-2 to import.   See this for importing a W-2 - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/import-enter-w-2/L55HzdeDr_US_en_US

If your employer is partnered with TurboTax to allow the W-2 data to be imported into the software you can do that---but you need the actual W-2 so that you can enter the EIN and the amount from box 1 to import the other data from the W-2---which just saves you the little bit of keying in of the other information.   W-2's come from your employer, and they have until January 31 to issue it.  Some employers allow you to import the W-2 through the software, but for security reasons you still need information from the actual W-2 to import it. Some employers have payroll sites that will have your W-2. You might need to phone, text, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.     Every 2025 W-2 that you received must be reported on your 2025 tax return, even if they are for small amounts.  Remember that each one of those W-2’s has your Social Security number on it, and that income was reported to the IRS by the employer.  You do not want trouble with the IRS for under-reporting your income or have your refund delayed by having missing income.   ALL of your W-2’s must be entered on the SAME tax return.     Go to Federal>Wages & Income to enter a W-2. After you enter the first one, you click Add Another W-2.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-forms/get-copy-w-2/L8FTim9MO_US_en_US?uid=m68ee4os   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/import-enter-w-2/L55HzdeDr_US_en_US?uid=m68efe36   And….SAVE YOUR OWN W-2!  TURBOTAX DOES NOT SAVE IT FOR YOU.  TurboTax will not have a copy of it in your account and will not have an image even if you snapped a photo or imported it.  It is up to you to save it for your own records as stated on the back of the W-2.
No you don't have to enter anything about the account you didn't take a RMDfrom.

And for SS taxable.   Starting in 2024 there is a new question asking if you lived in a foreign country. People were answering it wrong or skipping it. Go back through the Social Security entries and check, check for each spouse if married. If the IRS adjusted your return you do not need to amend. Check the top of the Turbo Tax Social Security Worksheet. There is a box to check if you lived in a foreign country.

At least for Idaho filers, I found that going into the forms directly and modifying the calculation for line 14 works to correct this issue and does not block electronic filing. It is obviously up to you on whether to try this or wait for Turbo Tax to complete their updates.   (1) Go to View -> Forms (2) Select Idaho Form 40 (3) Go to the worksheet for line 14 - "State And Local Income or General Sales Taxes Worksheet" (4) Override line e in the worksheet to match Federal Schedule A, line 5e (5) Double-check that the calculation matches the Idaho instructions   This is obviously a work-around, so, again, your call on whether to try this or wait.

Indeed @DantheMan123 the error is still there in TT 2025.  The LT loss carryover did not "carryover" from my 2024 MA return to 2025 automatically as it was supposed to.  Since I knew about it (I always check the prior return for these things), I ticked the box that said that I did have a LT loss carryover from 2024 - but the dialogue never asked me to enter the number! DUH! So I went into the forms and entered it.  Not too hard, and it did score me a credit, but TT should be fixed after this reoccurring, error, or what I would characterize as a "serial defect".

Nothing about Social Security has changed. It can still be taxable. For 2025 there is a new Enhanced Deduction for Seniors of $6,000 for each spouse 65 or older if you qualify. It starts to phase out if your AGI is 75,000 (150,000 Joint). Then it is reduced by 6 cents for every dollar of income over. That is listed separately on your return and is in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions and is after any Social Security taxable amount on line 6b. The deduction for seniors will be allowed for 4 years, from 2025 through 2028.   The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b with any other Sch 1-A amounts.  (The Standard Deduction is on line 12e).

I’ve already posted it on my page … it’s in my profile.  It’s alot to type so I think I now know the answer and I’m just going to go with it. Pay the 6%.  Take a regular distribution.  No earnings required to be withdrawn.  Report on 2026 return since that’s the distrubtion year.  Already amended 2024 and paid the 6%.  Do it again for 2025 and have it over with

My RMD in totality is approx $20,000 and I took out $25,000 in RMDs.  So I have met the RMD requirement. The distributions came out of 4 accounts but I have 5 accounts that have RMDs.   I understand that distributions don't have to come out of all the accounts, I just have to meet the totality of RMD distributions WHICH I HAVE DONE.    My question was:  Do I need to make a notation (for information purposes only) to the IRS in my tax return that I didn't take anything from my 5th account.  If I do need to do this, how do I enter it into Turbo Tax.
I am having the same problem with the Online version, but the desktop application correctly carries over my W-2 state taxes withheld as an itemized deduction.

First time Turbo Tax user trying input prior year depreciation and having issues with the Depreciation and amortization report for my 2025 taxes. Anyone else seeing issues.. I have the desktop version.
He needs to go to MY INFO, click his name and go back through the screens to the one that asks if someone else can claim him as a dependent and say YES, then he can try to re-file.

No, you must enter the business portion of the fair market value (FMV) when placed in service, TurboTax will not calculate this for you.    Once you have gathered the information detailed for you by our tax expert @AmyC, in the vehicle itself you do want to say it was converted to personal use. This stops TurboTax from carrying it forward to the future. The varied business use can make it complicated when sold.    Next, you will enter only the sales information using the steps below. Once you have completed the information in the vehicle section you will follow the steps below to enter your sale: Go to Less Common Business Situations Scroll to Sale of  Business Property On the next screen select Any Other Property Sale Use the information from step 3 and the depreciation from step 6 to complete your sale Select Sales of business or rental property that you haven't already reported. Answer 'Yes' to Do all of the following apply...?  Description of the Property (Vehicle make/model/year) Sales Price/Sales Expenses  Date acquired and date sold Cost - business portion of FMV Depreciation If the personal portion of your vehicle is a loss there is nothing to report for that portion of the sale/trade.
