I must be missing something. To my knowledge I don't have to complete form 1116, but TT says that I do. Here are the particulars of my situation. - Foreign tax paid appears on one of my 1099-DIVs, and it is less than $300.00 - To my knowledge, I only have PASSIVE foreign income. - All of my income is reported on payee statements (1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-R). - An accountant did my taxes last year and there was a foreign tax credit slightly over the $300 threshhold, but the credit was taken entirely for the 2024 tax year (no carryover to 2025). I hope that I don't have to complete the 1116. I started those steps, but entering RIC for "country" didn't seem to satisfy TT. I gave up and came here. Thanks!

Some have received a message from Charles Schwab saying downloads would be enabled on Feb 27th.
If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.
To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings:
Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL.
Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu.
Toggle the switch to ON.
Refresh the page and attempt your import again.
If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play:
Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements.
Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back.
Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.

Robinhood 1099 import went fine. Can't get Schwab to import to Mac Turbotax 2025. Using either Safari or Chrome. Everything looks like it is working fine and then Turbotax tosses up a message (oddly, in a different font than the rest of the program) saying: Multiple attempts all fail the same way. I was able to import into TurboTax online, but I know I can't complete the taxes with online.

Easiest is to delete the asset worksheet. Since they're fully depreciated, no information about them goes to the IRS.

Now that it is 2026 and time to actually do our 2025 US Income taxes, I'd like to know from TurboTax just how they are handling RMD's with regard to the Secure Act 2.0, section 204. Here is an example: I have a regular IRA which has an RMD in the amount of $30,000 to be withdrawn in 2025. I have 3 annuities which are Qualified plans. The amounts they paid me in 2025 and the RMD minimums are as follows: Annuity-A: $5000 paid and $3000 required to meet RMD ($2000 more paid than RMD required) Annuity-B: $4,000 paid and $2000 required to meet RMD ($2000 more paid than RMD required) Annuity-C: $10,000 paid and $4000 required to meet RMD ($6000 more paid than RMD required) Therefore the 3 annuities paid me $10,000 more than required to satisfy their RMD requirement. So with Secure Act 2.0, section 204 I can use that $10,000 to offset the $30,000 required to be withdrawn from my IRA account. MY QUESTION IS: How does TurboTax do that? How do I see that TurboTax is doing this correctly? AND: If TurboTax cannot do this via "EasyStep" -- how do I input everything in the FORMS section to get this correctly entered? Thanks very much. When an employer issues a 1099-MISC for the personal use of a company vehicle, they are treating that usage as a taxable fringe benefit. While this is usually reported on a W-2, companies sometimes use the 1099-MISC format to report "Other Income" for non-employees or specific fringe benefits.
Here is how to report the 1099-MISC in TurboTax Online:
Navigate to Federal > Wages & Income > Miscellaneous Income> Form 1099-MISC
Add the 1099-MISC, reporting the information as printed on the form, Continue
Describe the reason for this 1099-MISC "Personal use of company vehicle" or something similar.
Select None of these uncommon situations apply, then continue
Select No, it didn’t involve work that's like your main job and continue
The next screen asks how often you get income from this. Select only the year of this specific 1099-MISC, 2025.
Next, select No, it didn't involve the intent to earn money
You can check this in TurboTax Online by navigating to Tax Tools on the left of your screen, choose Tools, then View Tax Summary. On the left of the screen, select Preview my 1040, and scroll to Schedule 1, Line 8z "Other Income."

When you go to the HSA section in the "Deductions and Credits" section of your federal tax return you will need to enter how much was contributed. The amount from your W2 will be carried over and the additional contribution is entered just below that.
The next screen has three choices - select the third choice that you had "different coverage at different times of the year" and then when you get to the next screen you will enter your monthly coverage throughout 2025 and spread your contributions across that monthly limit.

The EIN is exactly 9 digits, no more and no less, in the form 12-3456789. What EIN are you entering?
Note - TurboTax will automatically enter the dash for the EIN.
