To report a distribution of nondeductible IRA contributions in TurboTax, enter your Form 1099-R, then ensure you accurately report your prior-year "basis" (total nondeductible contributions) by answering "Yes" to questions about nondeductible contributions. TurboTax will use this data to populate IRS Form 8606, which calculates the taxable and non-taxable portions of your distribution.
You will need your Form 8606 to report your IRA basis. If all or part of your Box 1 amount is non-taxable, Box 2b 'taxable amount not determined' should be checked.
Here's more info on reporting Non-Deductible IRA Contributions.

You can use a distribution to pay student loans with a 10,000 lifetime limit per student.
The interest on that loan payment cannot be claimed as a "Student Loan Interest Deduction".
If the distribution paid a student loan, you may (or may not) receive Form 1098-E (Student Loan Interest Paid)
If the distribution reported on Form 1099-Q paid the interest reported on Form 1098-E, do not enter either form. Keep copies of the forms with your tax file.
If only a potion of the distribution was used for the student loans, you may need to enter a potion of the distribution.
TurboTax is in the process of updating the section to report a partially taxable 1099-Q.

Reject Code IND-180-01 occurs when the 6-digit Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) entered for the primary taxpayer does not match IRS records, often caused by using a previous year’s PIN or a typo. Fix this by locating your current year's CP01A letter, updating the IP PIN in your tax software, and re-submitting. See How to fix e-file reject IND-180-01? - TurboTax Support - Intuit

When I enter a 1099-R, with a Traditional IRA conversion to Roth (not backdoor), occurring in the 2025 tax year, the Form 8606 needs that conversion amount to be shown on line 8, but it's not populating. I can't find a manual override to getthe number in there. How do I get a correct form 8606 done?

For a direct rollover of a 401(k) to a traditional IRA, the 1099-R should show the total distribution in Box 1, $0 taxable in Box 2a, and Distribution Code "G" in Box 7. This signifies a tax-free rollover, which must still be reported on Form 1040, line 5a (gross) and 5b (taxable, usually $0). TurboTax is assuming that, if you enter a 1099-R with Distribution Code G in Box 7, and you didn't roll it into a Roth account, you rolled it over into another type of pre-tax retirement account such as another 401K or a Traditional IRA. See this TurboTax blog for more information about rolling over a 401K. @MinouCali

You will be able to access the 2024 return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it. But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.
Start a 2025 return online and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.
Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2024 returns is now permanently closed.
Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2024 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.

If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.
They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday - Friday

If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late. If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe. Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

I read everything and as I have said I have been having this issues since my "tax expert" said I could check out. I have gotten as far as completing the check out and I get the hit a snag error then I try it again as it sells me to and it won't let me get back to that point. I've spoken with 3 "experts" and my "tax expert" who did my taxes and I keep getting the same answers..1) clear your cache, do it in incognito, try on the app.on my phone, try my laptop try my Ipad, I even tried my work Ipad, laptop and cell and nothing. Android phone HP laptop, Apple IPad , went back and forth with the "tax expert" until 8pm yesterday and I had to schedule another appointment to speak with her again, but its not until Friday. At this point, I don't know what the process is to have this all cancelled and I will take my taxes somewhere else. I have done my taxes with TT since 2019 and last year was the first time I didn’t use TT, but I came back and here we are.

@gysgtmousmcret Nevada doesn't have an income tax, so you wouldn't need to list NV for Other state Income on the Personal Info page.
