Sorry--no. Your filing status is Single now. For the year that a spouse passes away you are able to file a joint return; for two years after that you can file as a qualified surviving spouse IF you have dependent children. Your spouse passed in 2008 so you file as single.

If you are filing Oregon state tax return Form OR-40 for 2025, your net Oregon tax liability after credits is found on Line 29, Tax after standard and carryforward credits.
The lines after Line 29 refer to payments and refundable credits, and the calculation of refund or balance due.
See this help article for information on how to track an Oregon tax refund.

The answers I have seen so far do not address this situation. My wife and I initially both completed our tax forms with a married filing separately status, and itemized deductions. We would now like to switch both of our forms to the standard deduction to compare the total tax burden for both of us. TurboTax won't let us change. The screen says "Since your spouse is itemizing deductions, you cannot claim the standard deduction and must itemize." We haven't filed yet, and we want to see what our total tax burden would be if we both switch to the standard deduction. How do we both switch to the standard deduction?

@rpietrzy Check the IRS refund site to see if the refund issued by the IRS is the amount shown on line 35a of your Form 1040. It is possible that the IRS reduced your refund and will be sending you a letter. If the IRS issued the full amount shown on line 35a, then the issue is with the third party bank, and sadly, you have to deal with them.

A 2024 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.
