What do you mean by "the first time through?" Did you e-file and then try to go back to add the SS? Or did you add it during the time you were preparing the return---BEFORE e-filing?
Did you enter it in the right place? And.....there is a screen right after the entry for the SSA1099 that asks if you lived in certain foreign countries in 2025. If you do not answer correctly, or skip past that screen, your SS does not get entered correctly.
Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

When will this fix be applied? The system still doesn’t allow a deduction (per big beautiful bill) for tips not included on a 1099-NEC.

I have been using my personal vehicle for 5 years. I placed the total mileage that was used for business and then all vehicle expenses. It determines if it's better to use mileage deduction or actual expense. For 2025, it chose the actual expenses. If I choose actual expenses, will I be able to use the mileage deduction for 2026?

The qualified business income deduction could be coming from a dividend (Form 1099-DIV) from your bank or brokerage. Look at Box 5 (Section 199A dividends). If you have an amount there (likely around $25 in this case), the IRS allows you to take a 20% deduction on it.

I e-filed my W-2s via the Quick Employers forms (like I've done in many previous years) on January 23rd, and it is still showing "e-file processing" and when I move the cursor over the message, it states "processing form at the SSA as of 23 January 2026". I understand from a previous response that it can take a little while, but now it's been almost three weeks, while in the past it was processed within a day or two. Can Intuit/Turbo tax please look into this?

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Sounds like something got stuck. I know you said you tried a different browser and clearing cache and cookies, but here are a few more things you can things:
Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

1. Yes. You have to organize your stuff and use it for your taxes. You have to give the IRS your log whether it is attached or mailed. You will wait a few years and see if they ask. The IRS has trained over a thousand agents in the last year or two on handling sch D issues and the logs.
2. You are right about adding a message and potentially flagging it: but, it can also be preventive measures. Personally, I would not add it but for some people, they feel better. It sounds like you are in my camp.
Side note: your issue is one that many are dealing with so the IRS may have to work out a method and your screenshot was brilliant. I don't expect you to have a big problem.

I've filled out the address in both the fields at the top of the screen and in the window with the form visible. I've tried just answering at the top prompt, just int he window, and in both but I continue to loop back saying the address is blank. I've also tried a different browser and clearing cache/cookies/browsing history. Thank you!

If you get the message 'import successful' but there is no data in TurboTax, the import-ready documents may not yet be ready for import from your broker. Also, make sure your broker account settings allow for 'third party access' and you've disabled anti-virus programs.
Since the IRS already has copies of all your 1099's, you could consider using the Summary Method.

I have two IRA accounts that require RMDs. In 2025, I took my first ever RMD due in 2024 before April 1, 2025. Later in the year I took my actual 2025 RMD. In Turbo Tax I am entering two IRA accounts, and just the total distributions for 2025. It does not seem to allow me to designate that some of my distributions were to count as the RMD of 2024, but taken before April 1, 2025. Please help me figure this out, I am so confused!
