Are you asking about a state credit?  If so, what state?   The credit is probably a non-refundable credit, meaning the credit can't be more than your tax liability.   So, if you already don't owe any tax (you have no tax liability), you won't receive any credit.    You can check your tax return to verify your tax liability.     Your federal tax liability amount is found on Form 1040 (line 24).     Nonrefundable tax credits can reduce the amount of tax you owe, but they do not increase your tax refund or create a tax refund when you wouldn’t have already had one. Refundable tax credits can result in a tax refund if the total of these credits is greater than the tax you owe.

Did you open the software to see if the function was working?  I would say probably not because you would know that the function is not working if you had.
It's looping me back to same page and it's not allowing me to sign and submit.

I am having the same problem.  I have refreshed the software every day for the last 3 weeks and it's still not available. This is the first year this function hasn't worked in the history of using TurboTax.  I may have to print the forms and file manually as I need my money back.

For information on amending your return go to How do I amend my federal tax return for a prior year?  Once you start the amendment process you will make additions or changes to your original return.  You add self-employment income (and expenses, if applicable) the same way you would if you were reporting it on your original return.  You will change your filing status but going to that section and editing that entry.  The changes and additions will be summarized on Form 1040-X which will calculate any changes to your tax due or refund.  The program will guide you through the process.

I have found an issue with Turbotax Premier for Tax  year 2025.  In the Federal return  Form 4952 does not pick up interest from K-1s, and includes only interest from 1099-INT.   The interest from K-1 box 5 however is reported on Schedule B, part 1 and is included in the Schedule B total, but the K-1 interest number does not make it to the 4952 worksheet, specifically  4952 line 5b "From Schedules K-1, ... " does not populate and remains blank.  As a result the total investment income (line 10 of form 4952) is understated.  Can you please comment why and if this can this be fixed in the next  TurboTax premier update?
Thank You,  You are correct.  I used the tax brackets to check the number.  Under $100k, I should have used the tax tables.

@ navg8or  Supposedly February 18 or 19.   In the meantime, do not make any changes in your return.   When amending, it has to start off exactly as filed.   Also, you should not amend your return until the original has been fully processed and your refund (if applicable) has been received.

You will have to ask the Social Security Administration why they sent the questionnaire. It quite possibly is just an administrative error on the part of the SSA.  An SSA "No Record of Employer Report" is sent by the Social Security Administration (SSA) to an employer indicating that IRS records show taxes were paid; however, the SSA has no corresponding W-2 wage reports for one or more employees. As a result, the earnings cannot be credited to the employees' records.   You should respond to the SSA and submit any missing W-2 forms, even if they have already been submitted.

The IRS refund site does not use the word "accepted".   They start off by saying it was "received".   How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.   You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds

The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO.  You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)   The deduction is not on the same line as your standard deduction.  It is shown separately.     2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS SINGLE $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind + $2000) MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind +1600) MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500  (65 or older/legally blind + $1600) HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)     For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra  deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.   (The deduction phases out completely at $175.000 Single or HOH, or $250,000 joint)   The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e.  Turbo Tax automatically includes it.
