To see what is causing your return to be rejected and find out how to fix it:   Sign in to your account Select the Fix my return button Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.   What does my rejected return code mean and how do I fix it? There are also some returns that are not able to be filed due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 6, 2026. If this is your case, after this date, open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing.
And thanks for the link on the forms.  I wonder why the Turbo Tax forms notifications did not go out.  But that is for a perfect world.

When I tried to enter my K-1 information (already have it with final information filled in) into the form (1065) in Turbo Tax, Turbo Tax responded that the forms were not ready yet and I should sign up for form notifications and I would be notified by Turbo Tax when the forms were ready for use in Turbo Tax.  None of this has happened and I was informed by a friend that they saw that the forms were ready in Turbo Tax.  I am simply trying to find out if the forms are officially ready for use in Turbo Tax.

No, you do not need to report a change in bonus value each year. Once it matures and you take the distribution, you will pay tax on the proceeds minus your premiums paid.   This is taxed as ordinary income, not subject to the capital gains rate. This will need to be reported in US Dollars and not rupees on your US tax return.
Did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue.

Yes. Since you performed services in Pennsylvania and have a W2 that shows PA wages and tax withholding, you will file a PA non-resident tax return (PA-40).   Texas does not have a personal income tax, so you do not need to file a Texas individual tax return.   Here is information from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on requirements for filing a tax return if you are a nonresident.

I'm not even at the e-Filing stage.  I click on add another investment, select interest, enter the amount and the bank and save.  The list of investments then appears and it says it needs review.  It says that the FEIN cannot be blank.  So no, it cannot be left blank.  Based on searches online, it appears it could be blank in the past.  Was this changed?

On my return you are saying only enter 4000 for box 1 of 1098-T and 0 for box 5   And then on my daughters return, follow the workaround and enter $1,186 as the amount?   I dont need to enter the 1099-Q on either mine or hers? And if I follow the above, I should be all set?

DaveF1006,   Thanks for the reply!  Well, I went through the interview process and it did make a few changes.  However, it still has the $241 amount in the MO-1040ES in Part I lines 1e for 100% of overpayment, Part II lines 1 and 2F, even though I added $627 to Part II line 2e for Amount you want to apply but it isn't summing the items, it's stuck on $241.  On the Form MO-140, it still shows my Overpayment on line 49 as $627 and the amount to be applied to 2026 taxes as $241.  The new wrinkle is now it is charging me a penalty for underpayment of $386, which is the difference between the $241 and $627.  When I investigate the penalty, it is odd.  First, I chose annualization method as I did a 4th quarter Roth conversion and fed it the appropriate income elements for doing the annualization.  However, it ignored that and is still doing the long form regular calculation with even payments required.  If it would annualize properly, there would be no penalty.  Second, there seems to be a date problem with the software.  June 15, 2025 was on a Sunday, so the proper tax payment date is June 16, 2025 yet the software is putting payments made on that date in the third quarter.  I actually mailed them on June 13, the Friday before so I changed it in the Tax Payments worksheet and the MO-2210 isn't updating for the change.  So, it seems like it's one step forward and two steps backward!

TurboTax instructions say I don’t owe county tax in Indiana because I’m a non-resident and don’t work in Indiana. This is true, but TT is calculating county tax and adding it to my return anyway. Prior to 2025, I was a resident—I left in 2024.  Now, TT is calculating county tax due on the 2025 return. I talked to their “expert” who went over all my entries and confirmed they are correct. A second “expert” suggested that I delete the State return and start it over; but I’m not confident that will solve the problem.  AI chat suggested that I file it anyway and submit an amended return!  I have my doubts about that, too. Obviously, there’s a problem in TT software, and they don’t seem interested in fixing it. Anyone have another idea?
