I am having THE WORST time trying to access my documents.... this is largely why I stopped using turbo tax! I had an account a long time ago, and then had access issues. I guess at one point when I purchased turbo tax again, it created a second account for me. Both accounts are tied to my email so when I log in, I get both usernames to choose from. One of the accounts I can access is fine, but it's my other account I need access into because I am trying to see if my taxes from 2014 and earlier are filed there. When I select it, it gives me the option to enter a password and NO MATTER WHAT I do, it tells me my account is locked. I select the option to change the password and it gives me the option to verify my identity, which I did, but never gave me the option to reset any passwords related to it. My 1st account I can log into just fine, but this second account I cannot! I attempted to call, and calling is a JOKE. The automated system wants to send me password recovery links, but none of them are related to this 2nd account I am trying to access. No matter how long I wait, it tells me I am locked out for 14 minutes. I finally made it through the support line, and the tech cannot unlock my account? So I was sitting on hold for 15 minutes at a time, just for my account TO REMAIN LOCKED. The agent, hung up on me and because I am showing a recent call into the system, I cannot make it back through to a person. This is the worst experience and is very much the reason why I left turbo tax. It's unfortunate that with how large turbo tax is, they will not care about this experience hence why it is impossible to contact them and why they will never improve this. How can I access this account to check for these documents so I can be done with turbo tax entirely?

Thank you. I just don't see how they can expect us to know the purchase price of 5 large trash bags full of clothes and other household items that were purchased over multiple years.

To check if you signed up for the TurboTax Refund Advance, you can look in a few specific places in your account or your email.
Check Your TurboTax Order Details
On the Tax Home page, scroll down to the section for "Your tax returns & documents."
Select View Order Details.
Look for "Refund Advance" or "Credit Karma Money" listed under your payment and refund methods.
If it’s not there, you likely selected a standard direct deposit or a different refund option.
Look for Confirmation Emails
If you applied, you should have received automated emails from TurboTax and its partners.
From TurboTax: Search for an email confirming your "Refund Selection."
From Credit Karma: If you were approved, Credit Karma sends an email when the funds are deposited into your Credit Karma Money Spend account.
From WebBank: If your application was denied, you will receive an email from WebBank (the lender) explaining the reason for the decline.
Check Your Credit Karma Money Account
Because the Refund Advance is deposited into a Credit Karma Money™ Spend account, checking that account is the fastest way to see if the loan was processed.
Log in to your Credit Karma account.
Navigate to the Money tab.
If you see a pending or completed deposit for a portion of your refund (typically between $250 and $4,000) shortly after the IRS accepted your return, that is your Refund Advance.
Review Your Tax Return Summary
You can also find clues on your actual tax forms:
Open your 2025 return in TurboTax
Go to the Tax Tools menu on the left
Select Print Center
View your Federal Information Worksheet
Look at the "Direct Deposit" section
If you signed up for the advance, the bank account listed will be the MVB Bank account associated with Credit Karma, rather than your personal bank account.

Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my return now?” If you did that, you cannot do anything to fix it yet. You have to wait for the email that tells you if your return was accepted or rejected.
Since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject returns until January 26, you are going to be waiting in “pending” for awhile. Your return is sitting on a server, where you cannot fix it or get it back.
You cannot change or add anything on the return that you just e-filed, nor can you stop it. It is too late, just like when you put an envelope in a US mailbox on the corner. The IRS does not allow you to take it back.
If you left out a W-2, a 1099G, or a dependent, or a 1099 etc…DO NOT change your return while it is “pending.” The changes will go nowhere.
Now you have to wait until the IRS either rejects or accepts your return. If your return is rejected, you will be able to go into your account and make the necessary changes to your tax return and re-submit your return.
If the IRS accepts your return, however, then you have to wait longer until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund. THEN you can prepare an amended tax return and e-file or mail it in. You have to be able to work from that return exactly the way it was when it was e-filed originally. You will need to use a form called a 1040X.
Meanwhile, DO NOT go in and start changing anything on your return in the system, or you will make a mess for yourself. Sit tight and wait until you see what the IRS does with the return you just e-filed
The Form 1040X you need becomes available in late February, But wait until your return has been processed.

The usual response would be back to when you turned 65 (i.e., 9/25); HOWEVER, the excess HSA contributions are calculated on an annual basis; that is, if in each month you contributed only half of the 1/12th of your contribution limit, you could well not need to withdraw anything at all.
That is, while it says when you go on Medicare, you can no longer contribute to your HSA, that is not literally true.
Instead, calculate 8/12ths times your Self or Family contribution limit, and compare this to what you actually contributed (all year). If your prorated rated contribution limit is more than what you actually contributed, then you don't need to adjust anything.
Please come back if this does not make sense.

If TurboTax is not letting you continue on to e-file, you can try doing the following: Go out of your program and go back in. Clear your cache and cookies. Try a different Web Browser. You can also try: Log out of your TurboTax program, close the browser completely and then log back in. Temporarily turn off your firewall or anti-virus software that may block the transmission. If you are logged in multiple times on different computers, make sure you are only logged in in one place. Try using a different browser. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Restart your computer in case there is lingering software conflicts. Try using an incognito or private window to sign in to bypass any cached issues. Make sure you have run all updates if you are using a desktop version of TurboTax. To do this, you can click on "Online" in the black bar across your TurboTax screen and select "Check for Updates". Click here for How do I solve my e-filing issue? Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

It asked me for all the above info (how much I paid, address, and provider name) it asked for the EIN and I put that I didn’t have it. Then it asked why I didn’t have it. I put that the provider was tax exempt by mistake. & filed the taxes that way. So now I’m wondering if I’ll have to amend because of the mistake.

Hi, Vehicle has been depreciated since 2022, 2023 and 2024. The Car and Truck Expenses Worksheet shows line 23 Vehicle depreciation and section 179 deduction as $3108 By the way, current version of TT does not show the Asset Entry Worksheet, because depreciation is not ready yet. Could this be the reason why it is pulling $0.0?
