I electronically filed my return today, 1/30/2026, and quickly received a rejection from the IRS. Code S1-F1040-080-03, Schedule 1. I reported two small data breach arbitration awards as miscellaneous income (no 1099). The rejection email goes on to state: 'TotalOtherIncomeAmt' must be equal to the sum of [ 'GamblingReportableWinningAmt' and 'DebtCancellationAmt' and......... I have found some evidence on the internet that this problem is a Turbotax code issue and I should plan to refile on February 6 ( I presume this is after the Thursday update on 2/5). Has anyone else encountered this rejection issue?

The online questionnaire seems no place to enter the amount withheld for state taxes on my 1099-R.

Some states are not accepting e-files yet---we do not know what state you are asking about.
When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted or rejected your federal e-file. If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.
Check your e-file status:

It depends on your total income and if you were 65 at the end of 2025. If you qualify for the $6,000 bonus deduction your total deductions on top of your $18,054 would be $24,054.
TurboTax will automatically calculate it based on your date of birth and your income. There is not a special section or box to check. Just enter your correct information and TurboTax will take it from there. If eligible you will find this on Schedule 1-A Part V and line 13b of your form 1040.
For Tax Year 2025 through 2028, seniors may claim an additional deduction of $6,000 per taxpayer over 65. This is NOT a refundable credit. This is a deduction of your income.
If your income is above $75,000 ($150,000 if Married filing jointly) the bonus deduction decreases by $.06 for every dollar over the relevant amount.
This deduction is available whether you itemize or take the standard deduction.
If your filing status is married filing separately you are not eligible for this deduction.
This bonus deduction is ONLY for those over 65, it does not apply to those who are blind and under 65
Here are the instructions for how to preview your Form 1040 in TurboTax:
TurboTax Online Version
Select Tools.
Go to Tax Tools.
Select Preview My 1040 (or go to the print center).
TurboTax Desktop Version
You can simply switch to forms mode.

Since your tax did not change based on the information on the Form1095-A, it likely will not present a problem with the processing of your tax return. If the IRS has a copy of the correct form and applies that information to your return they would see that the tax did not change, so no adjustment would be necessary.

I don't know why it says on the HSA Summary screen that you can make changes with the implication that you can make these changes on this screen.
You need to return to the beginning of the HSA interview (i.e., start over) to make the changes that will be reflected on the HSA Summary screen.
As an aside, you probably know that personal HSA contributions (made outside the employer) are entered on the screen "Let's enter [your name]'s HSA contributions" on the second line.

The income and tax expenses go on the Sch E since you are not involved with the actual farm or receive a share.

Yes, you will need to report the rental of land on Sch E unless you receive a share of the crops, then you file Farm Rental Income and Expenses on Form 4835.

Unemployment compensation is taxable on your federal return.
You will have to enter a 1099G that is issued by your state.
Some states will mail out the 1099G. Or you might need to go to your state’s unemployment website and use the password, etc. that you have been using to certify for weekly benefits to get your 1099G from the state’s site.
Enter your 1099G in Federal>Wages & Income>Unemployment
Go through the screens very carefully, making sure to enter any federal/state tax you had withheld from the unemployment.
