Although Form 4547 Trump Account Election(s) is available currently in the desktop version of TurboTax, it is not clear at this time when and if it can be e-filed with your return. As far at the Dell grant is concerned, there is no mention of it in the IRS instructions to Form 4547. So, it is unclear how the filing of Form 4547 will impact your eligibility for that grant. Since the program does not commence until July of 2026, I am sure there will be further guidance in procedures to establish your Trump Savings account and apply for the related Dell Grant by the IRS and in TurboTax in the near future.

You should also see your dependents in the My Info section. If they're not there, EDIT yourself and TurboTax will ask if you want to add a dependent.

Thanks for your input. But your answer is not directed to my question, namely my 2025 TurboTax desktop program will not allow me to enter short and long term mutual funds capital gains, but it allows only the TOTAL GAINS to be inputted. Tried numerous times to get the descriptive dialog box to open, without success. Any suggestions? Followed steps provided by Intuit without success.

If you are filing married filing separately you do not get the senior deduction.
The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO. You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.
The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. Turbo Tax automatically includes it.

If you already e-filed and your return is in pending status, it is too late to seek the advance. You had to do that before you e-filed.

Turbo Tax is not putting this deduction on even when we meet the criteria.

Whether or how you can import QuickBooks, depends upon your version of QuickBooks and your version of TurboTax.

I originally tried to post a screenshot, but it just blanked it out. If I could I would show you that Add a State is not an option in my account when I look at past returns.

I cannot see it and it is not giving me the deduction. I cannot get any help from turbo tax.

I will answer my own question, since I figured it out. If you've already filed a state return, then just click on the option to Amend you return. Basically, you have to be actively editing a return in order to get this "Print Center." Once you click the Amend, you can get the Print Center option on the left and it will let you select Government Forms and Worksheets.

What is a "qualifying person" for Head of Household?
If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

Bug: Amounts on the new 2025 1040 Schedule 1 Line 8v "Digital assets received as ordinary income not reported elsewhere" are not currently aggregated into TurboTax's 1116 "Gross Income from All Sources Smart Worksheet" that flows into 1116 Line 3e. Also, TurboTax should warn users who directly enter summarized sales in Schedule D Lines 1a & 8a that manual adjustment of the "Gross Income from All Sources Smart Worksheet" is necessary if any losses were netted in those Schedule D Lines 1a & 8a amounts.
