TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh
.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst
If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund before early March
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US
Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing. If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.
FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:

How it works
Where's My Refund shows your refund status:
Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

The individual forms lookup tool shows that Form 3115 for an application of change in accounting method, is only supported on TurboTax Windows (also needed for the corresponding Section 481(a) adjustment), and not in TurboTax Online.
If you are unable to upgrade to Windows 11, which is required to run the current tax year editions of TurboTax on Windows, then unfortunately you will not be able to complete your tax return using the software this year. You will likely need TurboTax Windows edition to enter business activity as a trader, in any case: see discussion.
Note: Form 3115 is mailed separately from your e-filed tax return, and is only supported for preparation and printing in the TurboTax Windows edition.

If TurboTax is not letting you continue, you can try the following: Go out of your program and go back in. Clear your cache and cookies. Try a different Web Browser. If you are using TurboTax Desktop make sure all updates have been run on your program. You can do this by clicking on "Online" in the black bar across the top of your TurboTax screen. And then select "Check for Updates". If you have any additional questions or information regarding this please return to TurboTax Community and we would be glad to help.

By "last year" do you mean 2024 or 2025? And....if you were married, how did your spouse file for that year?

Rental Property sales are entered in two places under Rental Properties.
Open your TurboTax Online return, go to Tax Tools >> Tools >> Topic Search. Search on "schedule e" then click the link.
On the Rental and Royalty Summary page, click Edit (pencil icon) beside the property you sold. (If you didn't report this property last year, you'll need to complete all the interview questions, including setting up the asset(s) for depreciation.)
Click Edit beside the Rental Property info.
Under General Info: "Situations" (or on the page "Do Any of These Situations Apply?"), click "I sold or disposed of this property." Continue through the screens to the Property Rental Summary page.
Click Edit beside Sold Rental Property.
Go directly to your asset summary and click Edit beside the rental asset you sold.
Continue to the page "Tell Us More About This Rental Asset" and check the box for "The item was sold..." Enter the date of the sale in the pop-up box.
Follow the prompts to enter the sale information.
Continue back to the Property Summary page. Click Done and answer any follow-up questions.

What worked for me thus far with the same issue after the update is delete 5695, quit TT, restart the computer, open TT and complete the form again using Easy Step updating the Residential Energy Credit. I checked again this morning and the correct amount is still there without errors. However, I am not risking submitting my return for awhile and will see if things stay stable with the next few updates. I have Premier Desktop and it is on a Mac but issue sure sounds the same as what I had. Someone else tried this and did not work for them so ?

MY RETURN IS UNDER REVIEW
The IRS is getting more and more vigilant to prevent identity theft and fraud. People who file very early in the season are sometimes scrutinized more. Do not take it personally. TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS after they accept your return, so no one at TT knows that your refund is delayed or why. All you can do is wait for the IRS to finish processing your return. Watch the refund site. If the IRS wants more information from you they will request it. If they want you to verify your identity, you must follow the IRS’s instructions in order to do that. In many cases they will send you a letter—and you will have to wait for that letter.

Before amending make sure that:
You wait until your return has been accepted (or mailed if paper-filing).
Use the same Intuit Account you used to file your original return.
Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return. Only make changes to the areas of your return that need amending. The refund calculator will start at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due.
Any changes you make to amend your federal return will automatically be transferred over to your state return.

Yes I posted in here on another post. I filed a return on 2/24 that I had a biomass stove credit on, but then I received a corrected 1099 in the mail and had to amend my return in TurboTax. TurboTax did a software update on 2/27. When I went to file an amendment yesterday 2/28, TurboTax was no longer calculating my biomass stove credit. I believe there is another software update on 3/6 coming out and am hoping it corrects this issue.

Do you mean that the Charles Schwab dividends and interest are not getting imported into TurboTax? There is typically not too much information in a 1099-DIV or 1099-INT form to input, so it may be more time efficient and easier just to go ahead and enter the data for those forms manually in TurboTax, rather than importing them.
If this doesn't address the issue you are facing, please provide as much detail as possible in a reply - this will help us to better help you.

It depends. If the letter you're referring to has Form 1099-C in it, then the answer yes. Student loan forgiveness is generally considered taxable income by the IRS, often requiring you to report the discharged amount using Form 1099-C (Cancellation of Debt). While the 2021–2025 federal tax exclusion has expired, certain programs like Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) remain tax-free. If you receive a 1099-C, you must report this income unless you meet insolvency or other specific exclusions.

Why do you think it might be the wrong employer? Did you try asking your employer if the company you work for locally is owned by a larger company with a different name?
