Go ahead and scroll down and click Continue.   Once you get through all of the subsections in Uncommon Tax Situations, the message should disappear.    The message will not prevent filing, and at the end of that section, you will run the Federal Review to verify this.   Let us know if the message is preventing a successful tax return check.

We at Intuit TurboTax want our users to be completely delighted with their experience using our products and services, and successful in their financial lives and businesses. Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon.  If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab.

@xpatrick22 wrote: .....there are also people who need to pay asap to avoid paying interest on tax owed. No one needs to file a return to avoid paying interest on taxes owed. Taxpayers can make a payment to the IRS at any time in order to avoid penalties and interest.    Further, there's no need to file on or before April 15th since a 6-month extension to file is automatic (Form 4868); payment only needs to be made prior to the official deadline.

No, you don't need to upgrade. You can deduct alimony payments paid to your former spouse if your divorce or separation agreement was finalized before to January 1, 2019.   To enter those payments:   Go to Deductions & Credits Section Scroll down to Other Deductions and Credits Select Alimony Paid.   For more information, refer to the TurboTax articles and Can I deduct alimony I paid to my ex-spouse? and Video: Tax Tips for Divorced Couples.
How can I submit the 1099-MISC if I don't know why I received the form?

When you are entering income on a joint return, every income entry screen will either have a spot with both spouse’s names there, or when you click to enter a W-2, 1099R, etc. it will ask you by name which spouse it is for.  You do not have to wait for the software to “ask” you for your spouse’s income. Go to the screens to enter your spouse’s W-2’s, 1099’s, etc. just like you did for your own income.  Then look for your spouse’s name there.

These instructions do not work.  I tried entering IP PIN, IP, and PIN into the search in TT Premier 2025 and it did not return any results.  I pulled up the form (Info Wks) and saw where the IP PIN goes and entered it onto the form itself so hope it goes through this time because, even though I entered a five-digit number for both my husband and me, the return was rejected twice.   UPDATE: Third's time's the charm. Once I opened the Info Wks form and added the 6-digit IP PIN for both my husband and me as well as the 5-digit individual Pin, the 1040 was accepted by the IRS.  It may be that if you signed up for the IP PIN on the IRS site, you have to include it on the Info Wks form when you eFile the taxes.  Not intuitive.

It depends upon the nature of the sales activity.  It would be helpful to know how the income was reported on the 2024 income tax return.   Are you:   reporting the income and expense as self-employment income on Schedule C? reporting the income as personal item sales on Schedule D of the Federal 1040 tax return? reporting the income as hobby income  on Schedule 1 as activity not engaged in for profit?, or  are you reporting the income in some other way? IRS form 1099-K is an input form.  How the income (and expense) is reported depends upon the nature of the income, not the input form.   Please clarify and someone will be able to assist you.
filing jointly but don't see where I owe my spouse
I agree.  We've already paid for the product. I presume TurboTax/Intuit just doesn't want feedback. I'll be looking for an alternative next year after the 20 or 30 years I've used TT.
This TERRIBLE! I can’t talk or chat to a live agent! The only number does not allow me to speak to live agent.  Can’t speak to anyone regarding a purchased return.

If you have Turbotax installed on your computer from a CD or download, you can prepare as many returns as you like for family, as large as you do not charge a fee.  Each return is a separate document, like having more than one spreadsheet file.  However, you can only e-file up to 5 returns.  More than that, and you will have to print and mail them.  This is an IRS limit, not a Turbotax limit.     You should not try to install more than one copy of the Turbotax program -- strange things have been known to happen.  And you don't need to.
