Couldn’t find a topic area to post this.  But on my iPhone there is a big box asking if you want a Full Service expert…….  It is taking up a lot of my screen.  How do you dismiss, delete or exit it?   It starts out with a bubble Ask AI Concierge then automatically jumps to the FullService box.  Is the Give Feedback blocking a X or something?  See my screenshot.

Sorry, but you can no longer get 2014 AL state tax forms or TurboTax software.  TTX only provides states for the current year's software and three years back. Thus, to prepare 2014 for Alabama, you'd have to get the PDF paper forms for 2014, directly from Alabama....fill them out and mail them in:   (but really..2014?  I guess it could happen for some strange reason)   Forms Archive - Alabama Department of Revenue

Gambling losses can only be deducted up to the amount of the gambling winnings. Gambling winnings are reported on Form 1040 Schedule 1 on Line 8b. The amount from Part I of Schedule 1 Line 10 flows to Form 1040 Line 8. Gambling Losses are reported on Form 1040 Schedule A as a Other Itemized Deductions. Gambling losses are not a one-for-one reduction in winnings. Your total itemized deductions reported on Form 1040 Schedule A must be greater than the standard deduction for your filing status to have any tax benefit. To enter, edit or delete Gambling Winnings and Losses - Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business) Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business) Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown) Scroll down to Less Common Income On Prizes, Awards, and Gambling Winnings, click the start or update button Or enter w2g in the Search box in the upper right of the program screen. Both forms state that if requested information is not reported on a CAF (Centralized Authorization File), e.g. W2s, 1099s, then the forms CANNOT be submitted online. However, they also say, if forms are signed electronically (including a scanned signature) they MUST be submitted online. We are using her scanned signature (since we live miles apart) Since the other options are fax and USPS, i am hoping to be able to upload the 8821 (and later, the 2848 if necessary) Also, after i submit the 8821, do i have to ask for the transcripts? Is this form a request or only authorization? Thank you in advance!

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted? Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.   You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".   After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.   Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.  Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.   To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product. If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.   Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst     h
