Neither the IRS nor TurboTax knows what your RMD should be.  They expect you and/or your plan administrator to make sure that the RMD is taken each year.  If she needed to take RMD in 2024, and received a distribution from that account, she should check with her plan.  The distribution she received may have actually included RMD (since this isn't noted specifically on the 1099-R).   Also, if she knows what her RMD for the year should be, and she had another distribution that was over that amount, she can indicate that her total RMD was taken from that account.   The IRS allows you to satisfy your RMD requirement by taking it from one account, or across several accounts.  As long as the total is taken during the year.   Here's more info on IRS Requirements for RMD's.   @kurmakote

I was able to correctly pro-rate the US income.  One follow-on question: using May24-May25.  Form asks for days in US and if worked during the 12 mo period used.  I listed 1 US trip over Christmas/New Years where I worked 2 days in 2025.   Even though that period is used for establishing the 33o days, I shouldn’t count the 2 days in 2025 as part of my 2024 income should I?

Taxes are pay-as-you-go, you should make an estimated tax for your income that you received the first quarter.  When you file your return, both your 1099 income and your W2 income will combine and you will pay taxes on both of them combined.  You will need to pay the tax due on all of your income combined, even if you owe less than $1,000.     Pay as you go, so you won't owe: A guide to withholding, estimated taxes and ways to avoid the estimated tax penalty How does my side job affect my taxes? I went through five hours and got nowhere. The people on the other end TurboTax can’t see that I paid monthly for a year through Apple Pay. They cannot understand that and that I am owed the free federal and state return. So they can’t communicate between intuit QuickBooks and TurboTax 3 different companies. Also they can’t verify that I paid through Apple Pay. I’ve been using this app for many years and I’ve been with TurboTax for probably 18 years I’m looking elsewhere. I filed both my sons through three tax USA because I didn’t wanna go through the bull. I I’m looking for an app rectify my bank account track my mileage and track invoice is very simple and then within a year

Yes, you generally need to file two separate extensions: one for your federal taxes and one for your state taxes. Here’s how you can do it: Federal Tax Extension To file a federal tax extension, you need to submit Form 4868 to the IRS. This form gives you an automatic six-month extension to file your federal tax return You can file this form directly through TurboTax: Use instructions at the TurboTax Easy Extension IRS Form 4868 Instructions State Tax Extension Each state has its own requirements for filing a tax extension. Some states offer automatic extensions, while others require you to file a specific form   TurboTax can help you file state extensions directly within the software for many states:   Use instructions at the TurboTax State Extension Guide TurboTax Help Article on State Extensions If your state requires a specific form, TurboTax will guide you through the process or provide a link to the state’s tax authority website where you can file the extension
You would only need to report it if you made other HSA contribution outside the HDHP or employer.
None of the pension type indicators match because this was not a pension account.
It worked! Thanks

Do both forms report proceeds that will be reported as self-employment income reported on a Schedule C Profit or Loss From Business?   If this is the case, I would create the self-employment activity and report the IRS form 1099-NEC as income reported within the self-employment activity.   In TurboTax Premier Online, report self-employment income and expenses by following these directions:   Down the left side of the screen, click Federal. Down the left side of the screen, click Wages & Income. Click on the drop down arrow to the right of Self-employment. Click to the right of Self-employment income and expenses. At the screen Tell us the type of self-employment work you do, enter the answer and click Continue. Establish the self-employment activity and report the income and expense. Report the IRS form 1099-K:   At the screen Which type of income is your 1099-K for, report the IRS form 1099-K proceeds as Other.   Select This amount in box 1a is too high.... and report the full amount. The amount in box 1a should be reported on Schedule 1 Additional Income and Adjustments to Income as an amount reported to you on form 1099-K that was included in error.     Retain all paperwork with you income tax files should a tax authority contact you at a later time.

Thanks for the response. I missed the deadline since I did not get the entire 401k closed in the 2024 tax year. Part of it was closed in 2025; I thought I had a calendar year. That's what I got for being my own "tax advisor" for this literally once in a lifetime event!   I will try your suggestion later in the day.   Thanks again!
