Is this about the rumored $2000 for tariffs?   So far that is noting but political huffing and puffing.  The IRS does not have the power to approve payments to you.   CONGRESS would have to pass a bill for that and then it would have to be signed into law.   That is certainly not happening by fourteen days from now.   And it is unlikely to happen at all --so don't hold your breath expecting a check for $2000.

What $2000 are you referring to?   And please screen shot or tell us exactly where you saw that the IRS approved payments for people.

Don't believe much of what is swirling around.   Would take an act of Congress that wouldn't take effect until mid-2026 at the earliest, IF...if it ever happens at all. The bureaucracy can't act any sooner...So, no one should plan on it.   Applied to each person, or just per family? What about income limits? Yadda Yadda Yadda.

@Lisa-Stummeier    1)  That email shows up whenever you download any file from an "Online" TurboTax account.   2)  If you had actually paid for the "Online" software for 2024, back when you created the tax file,  then there should be a 2024 PDF file to download that opens with (almost) any PDF file reader.   3)  If you didn't pay for the 2024 "online" software, then all you can download is the .tax2024 datafile from your Online account.  To see what's in that file, you'd have to buy, download, and install the 2024 "Desktop" 2024 software, on a full MAC or Windows computer, to open that datafile before printing out whatever was in that datafile.   File Your 2024 Prior Year Taxes with TurboTax Desktop

On which CA form?   The 540 line 17 is  Calif Adjusted Gross Income.    If the state says it is wrong they must have changed something like the AGI from the federal return or some adjustment on California Schedule CA (540).  The state return flows from the federal return so it might be wrong too.

Hmm, I didn't need my codes.  I have Home & Business.   In June 2025 I upgraded my Windows 10 laptop to Windows 11. All my Turbo Tax programs back to 2019 were still installed and work.   Even the years before 2022 that are unsupported.  I didn't need to reinstall them or reenter the License Code for any of them.   But if you don't have 2021 and prior working then you won't be able to reinstall it even if you have the License Code key.  They have stopped supporting 2021 so you can't install them or update them or download any state programs you need.
It is best to minimize stock losses, not maximize them.
These things happen when you are not familiar with your state tax rules.
I get that we're waiting on things for the 'big bill' but it's a bit disconcerting that basic functionality like this that doesn't change from year to year isn't working out of the box.
Also, it's basically FMV no matter how you slice it.
