Entering 50% of the value is how you show that you owned 50%. Assumedly the other owner will also enter their 50%. If the IRS has questions they will reach out so maintain your documentation.

It does generate questions. But zero is a perfectly acceptable answer.

would be helpful if you could share more specifics... what were the original amounts in your 1099-INT and what did it put on Schedule B, and what did you expect. What boxes other than Box 3 had amounts? Adjustments will be made for any premium Box 12). Did you input any other adjustments to the 1099-INT for accrued interest etc?

If you need to do 2023 or prior you can buy the Desktop download here, TurboTax 2022 Prior Year Tax Prep - File Past Years' Taxes You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on. If you have a simple return and want to file for free you can fill out the forms by hand. Here are some basic forms..... Here is the 2023 1040 return https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040--2023.pdf or if you want bigger type use 1040SR for Seniors, https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s--2023.pdf 2023 1040 Instructions https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/i1040gi--2023.pdf 2023 EIC and Tax Tables https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/i1040tt--2023.pdf Schedules 1-3 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s1--2023.pdf https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s2--2023.pdf https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s3--2023.pdf Don’t forget your state. And you will have to print and mail your returns. So be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing. Then when you file for 2024 you need to enter 0 for the 2023 AGI since you are filing 2023 late.

Thank you for the response but that is not really my question. I am having a circular error in TT that is not bringing the 1099K total over to the 1099B worksheet in the reconciliation box correctly. The program is only bringing over the gains so it is not reconciling to the Stubhub 1099K form. This is causing an error message that I can not get past to finalize my return. it appears the Capital gains are calculating correctly, the forms are being completed with the correct amount, I think, but it is still showing a circular error basically the program wants that reconciliation box to match the 1099K and it won't because there are losses and I cannot figure out how to add information to change it. I just want to be sure that is really what the program is telling me is wrong. I am not a tax expert and when the program stops the return with an error, I get concerned. Thanks I
