I am trying to get the correct form to file my C Corporation TAX for Fiscal Year 10/1/2024- 09/30/2025. I ordered  Turbo Tax Business 2025 but it give me for filing 10/1/2025 to 09/30/2026 which is not due yet. So I requested a refund and order 2024, and it ask for my payment information for estimated tax with date of 2024, which I paid in 2025. Can anyone help and let me know what I should do?

It is specified as the final return. That was done in the introduction section, and it is reflected on the 1041 Form on checkbox under line F. And, the Capital Gains are reflected appropriately on the K-1s being produced.  As for leaving anything in the trust, I haven't. Rental income did not cover costs this year. Interest income is also relatively very small. Taxes were paid every year on the income, so the only thing that remains an asset is part of the original principal the Grantor provided when the Trust was funded years ago.   So, the Capital Gains on the K-1s reflect all the assets being distributed to close out the Trust. So, why is TT4B saying a tax bill equivalent to what is being distributed to the beneficiaries must also be paid by the trust? Why the double taxation? What haven't I entered? And where? Do I need to enter what is left of the principal somewhere? It doesn’t cover the unexpected tax bill!

No one in the user forum has access to that information.  When your e-file was rejected, you received an email with a rejection message or a rejection code.   We cannot see your email.    It is now too late to e-file, so the only way to file your 2024 return is by mail.   Most rejections are for AGI, which no longer matters since the return has to be mailed.   Pay your TurboTax fees (if you did not already pay them), then print, sign and date your return in ink, and mail it in.       When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

I think you mean there are a billion Windows users (not TT users) and only half have moved to Win 10 (globally - US is about a third on Win 10).   Turbotax desktop only has 4million users including Mac (25%?) and in the US the Win 10 share has flipped from 2/3 to 1/3 over the course of 2025.  Theoretically that leaves 1 million Win 10 users wanting Turbotax (4 x 0.75 x 0.33) but these are just averages so it's probably lower given Intuit's decision announced several months ago.  The rest will either deal with Win 11, try out online, or switch to other s/w.   Intuit's made it increasingly clear their direction is towards higher revenue online & live advice services, and made several offers to desktop and ItsDeductible users for discounted online services.   So yes if you don't want to upgrade to Win 11 yet or use online (or set up Win 11 VM to run TT), you'd need to switch to HRB or TaxAct.   Good luck.

Most contractors are no longer bound by either a Home of Record (HOR) or State of Legal Residence (SLR).  However, some states are "sticky" and you may still be considered a tax resident of your SLR.  That depends, though, on which state that is.   You may also be eligible to exclude your income earned in Germany now that you are not on active duty, if you meet the criteria for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE).  We have tips for taxpayers overseas HERE, which includes information on the FEIE. For your state question, we may be able to offer additional guidance if you share which state was your SLR at retirement.

MAC OS 13 went out of support from Apple in November so Intuit is not supporting it, this happens every year.   Intuit is offering desktop users to switch to online premium for no extra cost on Fed.  There are other widely used online platforms like FreeTaxUSA or TaxAct.   If not able to upgrade your HW/OS and not interested in using an online service then believe your only other option for installed tax software still supported on older Mac OS versions is H&R Block.

@rower30 only 100k people were using ItsDeductible apparently, and Intuit sent out at least 3 separate emails so it should be pretty widely known at this point to former users of the service that it's been removed.  Many have also been trying 3rd party apps which have similar functionality.  Worst case if people are so upset about it then Intuit will refund within 60 days. https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-refunds/request-refund-turbotax-product/L834M6uyW_US_en_US?uid=mj21ysqs

There are nowhere near half a billion TT desktop users (there aren't even a tenth of a billion TT desktop users). Here is an indisputable fact:   Desktop is 1% of Intuit's total revenue ($213mil vs $21bn), 11% of total TT 'units' (4.3mil vs. 34.9mil) while being only 4.5% of TT revenues ($213mil vs. $4.5bn), and declining 5%

Files are flagged when filed electronically, but on the receiving end in most cases.   California Franchise Tax Board typically handles the exceptions the same way that the IRS does, by use of zip codes. Many taxpayers used temporary addresses when filing due to temporary relocation from the fire.  This would cause the system to charge penalties erroneously.  Other times, systems make mistakes.  Generally, these things are automatically handled on the receiving end (IRS or CA FTB).  A call or message via the CAFTB portal should help resolve the issue quickly.
