I purchased the Deluxe online edition for $30 to do my taxes and was informed half way thru my taxes I would need the Premium version to complete my taxes. So I had to purchase it for $56 and couldn't get your differential rebate thing to work to get my $30 difference back . I paid $30 for the Deluxe and then $56 for the Premium instead of just a $26 differential. So I'm $30 in the red. how can i get reimbursed for the $30 Ken [email address removed]

@DoninGA and @geauxcat , Using DoninGA's instructions I was able to download a pdf of my TY2024 federal and state returns with all (94 pages!) of worksheets. Thank you, DoninGA! And... I was also able to download a pdf of my TY2023 returns with all worksheets by clicking on "Amend Using TurboTax Online." Here are the full directions for downloading a pdf with all worksheets for TY2023 returns: Login to TurboTax > Tax Home Scroll down and click on 2023 under Your Tax Returns & Documents Click on Amend Using TurboTax Online Click on Tax Tools > Print Center > Print, Save or Preview This Year’s Return. This will take you to the TurboTax Print Center. Check the boxes for Federal and State returns. Choose the option that says, “Include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional).” Click View or Print forms. This opens a pop-up window with a pdf. This pdf does indeed include all of the worksheets. I hope this helps!

I think $56 was the difference. Online Premium is currently 139. Then you know state is a separate charge in addition.

The underpayment penalty on 1040 line 38 is just an estimate. It’s common for the IRS to recalculate it and send you a bill for more or a refund. You could have even left it off your return and let the IRS calculate it. Turbo Tax can not figure it accurately because they don't know exactly when the IRS or state will get your return and tax due payment.

I am using TurboTax desktop and reported summary information of my stock sales so I need to mail the IRS my Form 1099-B. A few questions: --Do I need to use a separate Form 8453 for each 1099-B (I have two brokerage accounts for which I need to mail the IRS the 1099-B, or do I just attach both to the form 8453? --Do I need to include all pages of the Form 1099-B, or just those for which the basis was not reported to the IRS? Thanks!

If the property is contributed to an exiting REIT in exchange for UPREIT units under IRC 721 and if the REIT already has multiple properties in multiple states and if it will continue to acquire additional properties it would be cumbersome to list properties owned by the REIT year after year on an annual FTB 3840 so it would make sense to continue to report the allocated deferred gain of the property on FTB 3840 until the UPREIT units received in exchange for the contributed property have been sold at which time both the federal and California taxes would be due on the allocated deferred gain of the original Like-Kind exchanged property.

so, my husband and I live in Monroe County, PA and we both work in Queen, NY so, you are saying i need to file my NY nonresident first? and how far apart should i then go do my taxes after filing the nonresident? thank you for helping, it is very confusing. Also. can i ask for my employer to take out more than the 10% from weekly income, this way i do not have to pay back so much after i file? i file married filing separately, is this a good choice, if i get paid more than my husband?

TurboTax allows me a deduction on my Connectiut state income tax return on line 41, "Social Security benefit adjustment (from Social Security Benefit Adjustment Worksheet)", that is carried over from line 50 to line 4 on my CT-1040 return. When I fill out my CT-1040 return on the Connecitcut Dept. of Revenue Services website, there is no deduction allowed on line 4, 41 and 50 lines for my Social Security benefits adjustment because my adjusted gross income is above the amount for which this deduction is allowed by the state. https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/drs/forms/2024/income/ct-1040_1224.pdf?rev=309ff60d4a0a470ea9cf66e8b45a3ecc&hash=0B9D0D07FC267C6237FC0A5502BBA59B
