You say I owe you money yet you illegally let the government take what you owed me so if you credit my account without my strict permission, which you do NOT have, I will be forced to sue you and put you out of business. If you want to get whatever amount of money then you will go to the [removed] you let steal my money. I worked my [removed] off for that money and you let a corrupt institution unbound by the constitution steal my money. It is your job and your duty to pay what is owed out of your own pockets not mine. If I am to pay anything I will have every single one of you served for allowed illegal entities to have access to my money without my permission.

Frequently asked questions about energy efficient home improvements and residential clean energy property credits – Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit - Qualifying expenditures and credit amount | Internal Revenue Service Q4. Are expenditures for window treatments, such as blinds, shutters, or tinting, eligible for the credit? (added Jan. 17, 2025) A4. No. An energy efficient building envelope component that is not an exterior window, exterior skylight, or exterior door must meet the prescriptive criteria for such component established by the most recent International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) standard in effect as of the beginning of the calendar year that is 2 years prior to the calendar year in which such component is placed in service. Window treatments do not meet the prescriptive criteria of the IECC. Window treatments also do not qualify under either of the other two categories of property eligible for the credit.

Thank you for your answer. My spouse was court ordered to give me half and therefore insists it’s not a gift. We had to list it as earned income by me and use a substitute 1099R to  report only half of it for him. I am ending up paying a lot of taxes on it because of this. Any suggestions?

This reject code means The spouse's SSN has been locked by the Social Security Administration because their records show it belongs to someone who is deceased. Verify that the spouse's Social Security Number (SSN) has been entered correctly. If necessary make corrections and resubmit this return. The IRS receives this information from the Social Security Administration. If after verifying the social security number, you feel this was received in error, contact the Social Security Administration (SSA) at 800-772-1213 to verify that their records are accurate.    You may need to print and mail in your return. This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.
Yes.  You can make one payment that is for the total amount due.  You can either mail a check and include the vouchers or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

Yes, extra withholding from your pay check will be considered as paid evenly throughout the year regardless of when it was withheld.   Yes, that is sufficient. If you feel confident in the annual amount entered when using the 2025 estimated calculation you should be good unless you have an unexpected sizeable increase at some point in the tax year. If so, consider that when making an estimated payment for that specific period.   @mellynlee

All of the options outlined by @KrisD15 are valid and useful depending upon the facts and circumstances within a tax return.   In your case, will these revenue streams all flow to a self-employment activity reported on your 1040 income tax return on Schedule C Profit and Loss From Business?   If so, what will be the total revenue reported in the self-employment activity?  If the total revenue to be reported will be $120,000, then, within the self-employment activity you might enter:   the IRS form 1099-NEC for $54,441,  the IRS form 1099-K for $15,076, and  the IRS form 1099-K for $40,716 Then you could report the difference under Other self-employed income, includes cash and checks.  See here.   If the total revenue to be reported within the self-employment activity is less than the total of the three IRS forms listed above, you may establish an Other miscellaneous expense to report the difference.   So, if the three IRS forms listed above total $110,233 and the self-employment revenue that should be reported is $110,000, you may establish an Other miscellaneous expense to report the difference of $233.   In either case, you have acknowledged the IRS forms and correctly reported your 2024 income.   @adam420

Final Outcome on EFile Rejection I hope TurboTax will take note of: I contacted the IRS yesterday & only had a 1 minute hold.  She looked into both our SS #'s for a 2024 return and our numbers used for a dependent and found nothing.  She suggestd just to do the efile on the IRS website and if that didn't work to mail it in.   So I would say it was a glitch, perhaps I hit the efile button too long and it transmitted wrong or our fiber optics internet service can sometimes flick on & off quickly or Turbo had so many online the glitch happened to others as well. Again thanks for the community's response as the only email I received from Turbo said I wouldn't get a refund after efile is clicked they have done there service.  But it's not the paper service I was signing up for it is to efile.  So I won't be back for future returns.

Click here to file an extension.  Remember an extension is just for extra time to file, not extra time to pay.  If you are going to owe anything, you will still need to pay by April 15th.    You can pay directly via the IRS website which is the recommended way or you can pay by check.  Be sure to include your SSN on your check and the tax year.

Did you receive a 1099 NEC or 1099-MISC for it?  If so, then after you enter the 1099, you will need to select that this is either not earned as an employee or self-employed if you received a 1099-NEC.  If you received a 1099-Misc, then you will select that it did not involve an intent to earn money.  This will keep it from being taxed as self-employment income.
We'd love to help you complete your tax return, but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?
