I am unable to file my return with the full service option as I think I am stuck in a validation loop. The system says my state/zip are missing even after re-entering and trying multiple devices. On the app a choice flashes for a second before showing the error. But not on a browser.

Are you trying to find your 2024 AGI to complete your 2025 return?   You can find your 2024 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) by: Looking at line 11 on page 1 of your 2024 Form 1040 Requesting a transcript of your 2024 tax return from the IRS. You can request your transcript online at the following link: Get Transcript Please click on this TurboTax article for more information.    Check these items as well to ensure you have the correct number.  If you:  Filed late last year after mid-November or your return was processed after that time—try entering 0. Amended your return last year—make sure you’re using the AGI from your original return, not the amended one. (If you only have a 1040X form, it’s on line 1, column A). Rounded your AGI to the nearest dollar—be sure to round up when it’s 50 cents or more and down when it’s 49 cents or less. Filed with your spouse last year—you and your spouse have the same 2024 AGI. (Don’t split the AGI amount or enter  0  for one of you).   Time-saving Tip: If what you entered is correct and you continue to get a reject, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return.    This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.

I'm a freelance writer. I received all of my normal 1099-NECs except one, which would total $800 flat.   Despite efforts to reach out to this company, I can't seem to get info about whether they've ever even sent the 1099-NEC my way at all.   Can I safely just file this under the "other income" section and move on, or do I absolutely require the 1099-NEC to proceed? This is the last thing holding me up, so I'm getting very frustrated.

This is a common thing and sometimes referred to as a "SPIFF". The payment is treated as miscellaneous income and is not subject to Self-Employment Tax.   Since it’s on a 1099-MISC Box 3, the goal is to get it to land on Schedule 1, Line 8z (Other Income) of your 1040.   Follow these steps: Go to Federal > Wages & Income. Scroll to Other Common Income and select Income from Form 1099-MISC. Enter the 1099-MISC exactly as it appears (Box 3 amount). For the description, enter "Manufacturer Incentive Payment" or "SPIFF." On the "Does one of these uncommon situations apply?" screen, select None of these apply. On the "Did the [Payer] involve work like [Your Name]'s main job?" screen, you must answer NO. Even though it’s related to your field, you are an employee of the dealership, not an independent contractor for the manufacturer. Answering "Yes" triggers the self-employment tax. On the "Did [Your Name] get [Payer] income in 2025?" screen, select Yes, I got it in 2025. On the "Did the [Payer] involve an intent to earn money?" screen, answer NO. (This confirms it was a one-off promotion/award, not a business you are running).
Enter the amount in box1 of the 1099-R into box 16, State Distribution.  This amount will NOT flow to your state tax return.

Thank you - closing in on a course of action. Practical question - you said " You have to give the IRS your log whether it is attached or mailed. "  I can have entries in the 8949 with the celsius refunds (for amounts listed on the 1099DA) and their cost basis.   However it seems you're indicating something more.   For my personal log of those transactions (which is just the same list of transactions and amounts) you're saying I should attach that too?  It's just the same info, all over again.    How would I do that?
