Do you mean you received another W-2 or 1099 after you filed or did you try to do one document at a time?
Click here for instructions on how to Amend Your Return.
If you did just one document at a time, be aware that ALL income from ALL sources should be reported on one return. After you enter one document (ex. 1099, W-2, etc) all you need to do is click Add a (name of document) and you will be able to include them all on one return.

The program may show the missing number as an error, but should allow you to E-file.
You also have the option to elect to file a joint return. If that is your choice, TurboTax can help you with that filing as well.

It is not at all important what you write in as Occupation on your tax return. It does not affect your return in any way.

Yes, you should claim the state tax refund as income on your 2024 tax year return.
Yes, the questions the program asks is in regard to how you filed your 1040 for tax year 2023. Since you filed Form 1040NR, those questions are not relevant.
This IRS link reports that a refund of state tax that would have increased the previous year tax liability is reported as income for the year received. This is the case for your situation.

Watching the refund meter as you enter information is not necessarily a good idea if it leads to trying to change the way you are entering an expense just to make the meter move again. There are other things in the background that are keeping that number from changing as you enter more expenses. You would need to look at your overall return to see why the refund meter is not changing with additional expenses.
