Here are the instructions for removing your PA state return, for desktop and TurboTax Online.    Follow these steps to delete a state return in TurboTax Desktop for Windows:   With your return open in TurboTax, from the File menu, choose Remove State Return. Select the return you want to delete and then select Remove. Choose Yes to confirm. Or You can delete your state return in TurboTax Online as long as you haven't paid yet.   Note: If your TurboTax navigation looks different from what’s described here, learn more. Open or continue your return. Select State Taxes from Tax Home. On the Status of your state returns screen, select the trash can icon next to your state, then select Delete.   Alternatively, you can skip this step of deleting the state, and just choose to e-file only the federal return on its own, as these can be filed separately.

Do I get a credit or deduction if my child is disabled?   If your child is older than 12 and you need to pay someone to take care of him while you work, you can say he is disabled and you can still get the childcare credit on your federal return.   Or if he is 19 or older you may still be able to claim him as a qualifying child dependent on your federal return.   Aside from those things, there is no federal tax advantage to saying that your child is disabled.   Your state tax laws might be different.     And.....if your child's doctor recommended any sort of special education, tutoring, special needs classes, etc. those can be entered as a medical expense if you are itemizing deductions and incurred any out of pocket expenses.

No, you are not required to issue a 1099-INT to the trust.  Because this is a mortgage between two entities that are not in the business of financing mortgages, neither you or she are REQUIRED to provide the IRS with informational forms.   If you decided you want to file with the IRS, it would be more appropriate for the trust to file a 1098 issued to you.   However, you can enter in TurboTax to report on your individual tax return if you are itemizing deductions: Under Federal Taxes, select Deductions & Credits Go to Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098) Click on Add a 1098. On the Let's Import your tax info screen, click on the Change how I enter my form On the How would you like to upload your 1098? click on the Type it in myself box on the bottom. Enter the Trust as the Lender's Name On the Do any uncommon situations apply? select The seller is financing this loan and I didn't receive a 1098. On the next page you can enter the Address and Tax ID Number for the Trust Continue with the rest of the information.   Be sure that either you or the Trust prepares, and you both have a copy of the Interest Paid for the the Year and the Outstanding Balance so it matches if the IRS asks.

Yes, money you contributed on your own is deductible. I am assuming you earned money from the insurance company, and then directly contributed it on your own. If the insurance contributed it on your behalf, it is not taxable, but do not enter it as a personal contribution.   Here is how you can enter personal contributions to an HSA in TurboTax Online:   Click on Federal Taxes,  Deduction & Credits Choose "add/edit" HSA, MSA Contributions You will see a page titled "Your HSA Summary" which will show any deductions already computed from your W-2   Choose Edit, Check the box for HSA, Continue You'll now see a screen that says "Here's what we have so far" with the information from the 1099-SA, choose "Edit." After the entry screen for the amount distributed, double check the number is accurate, continue and when it asks "Did you spend your HSA money on medical expenses only?" answer "Yes", if accurate.  Choose done and continue until you get to a screen that says "Let's enter your HSA contributions" In the box "Any contributions you personally made (not through your employer)" Here is where you enter the amounts you did NOT contribute through paycheck withholding.

Hello.  I've reached out to TT three times to get some items fixed. 1.  Dependent is still not showing as dependent despite it saying good news you qualify for a tax break.  Rep said no idea why it is not showing and to wait for update which should have been today, but which didn't come.  This is a SOFTWARE ERROR. 2.  Cannot efile 1099 NEC report.  Again, rep said it is a browser problem (NO, it is a TT problem!)  As other returns show efile option. 3.  Also TT said payments to attorney's over $10 must be reported on 1099 NEC, but IRS says payments must be over $600. 4.  Today, filing day, TT update STILL not available.

South Carolina forms appear to be finalized and available. Sounds like you have tried just about everything.  There does seem to be an increase in the number of people having problems with the FILE Steps section.  Whether there is a known or developing issue there, I don't know.  Does the Review that you were talking about refer to the REVIEW tab that is in the left menu column?  If you haven't gone there, I'd do that to see if there is any message.    Otherwise, since there's plenty of time, if it was me, I'd wait a few days and try again to see if it was resolved with any of the ongoing online updates.   In the meantime, you can keep checking threads in this forum in case it becomes a known issue.
No, that’s ok.  The IRS doesn’t want the cents reported anyway.   Box 6 doesn’t affect anything else on your tax return.   This is just for the program.
