TurboTax Premier - entered information on 3 separate Schedule K-1 forms on our Federal taxes, but only one of those transferred over to our Maryland state return. We're wary of adding the other two manually -- will any changes we make to the Federal K-1 then transfer over to the state since the state K-1 was entered separately? Is there a way to force the transfer of those K-1s already entered on the Federal return to the State return?

Is the -$4919 amount reported on your 1065 K-1 in box 14 as well as box 1?  Because that would mean that the income is considered self-employment income and the partnership has listed you as an active participant in earning that income.  In which case your actual earned income for the year is -$3101 and you would not qualify for the child and dependent care credit.   If you are not an active participant in that partnership you should request a corrected 1065 K-1 that lists you as a passive individual instead and would keep you from having to pay self-employment tax on earnings from the partnership.
@Jsoli0285 This is not live chat.   The user forum works much like a bulletin board.   Post a clearly worded complete and specific question and wait for a reply.

We have transferred all funds from Company A's IRA account directly to another IRA account at Company B.   After the transfer, Company A closed the account, so we cannot obtain a copy of Form 1099-R. We need to complete Form 4852 as a substitute for Form 1099-R.   When previewing the form, line 3, "Address," correctly displays the current foreign address, which is the same as the address on Form 1040. However, the TurboTax software reports an error and prompts us to correct the address. The software only allows us to enter a US address for correction. Even when we try to enter a US address in the "Let’s Check These Entries" section, the software still reports an error. We suspect this is because the entered US address does not match the foreign address shown on Form 1040.

@NN24    Yeah....a 1099-DIV has a subtle problem for box 12 $$. Go back to that page where you made the breakdown. 1)  Select the first "One State" button and set that to "Multiple States" for all of it. THEN 2) Select the second button, and your original breakdown should still be there.  Move on from that page and the proper amount from the second box's Multiple States value should be added to VA income...somewhere on the VA form....not necessarily with the initial $$ that transferred from Federal, but some added income line in the VA form.

I'm at a total loss on how to report the sale of this limited partnership. The partnership redeemed all of its units in 2025. I know to report it as a sale. But I'm not sure I am entering everything correctly in TT and answering the interview questions correctly. The limited partnership is part of a trust. The original investment came from two different accounts within the trust so I have 1099b's in two different accounts. One is for the $15,000 investment and the other for the $50,000 investment. Do I break the sale into 2 different sales - one for the $15000 and one for the $50,000?

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.  Some states process returns quickly and some are very slow.   STATE RETURN Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   To track your state refund:       ttps://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0

@stugaville    Some states are particularly picky about box 14 having a value without a value in box 16....even though it's empty on most 1099-R forms.   The solution is to enter the box 2a value into box 16, if box 2a has a real non-zero value in it...otherwise copy box 1 into box 16.
