Oh, and by "you must track each conversion separately" do you mean the year (so 1099-R) or each little conversion made within the year (cash $xxxx.xx on 4/15/2024, stock XYZ 10 shares @ $xxx.xx on 7/31/2024, etc,)?  I can download my transaction history for all "journaled" funds and shares since I've been with this brokerage (2020), I don't know how long they will keep those available.  I have most of my paper records from 1999 (I think that was the only time I converted anything, the rest of the Roth was contributions starting in 1999) but may not have all, and I've sold most of the mutual funds and stocks that were converted at that time, and invested the money in other things - do I need to be able to track the dividends, capital gains, and stock splits on all of my original stocks converted from my traditional IRA in 1999?  I'm afraid that will be an impossible task.  I thought you didn't need to track basis in a Roth?
Are you sure you are using the same account and login you used last year?

TurboTax provides do-it-yourself tax software.  TurboTax guarantees the calculations done by its software.   The information entered into that software is data entered by you, the user.   TurboTax cannot and does not check that information against any outside sources, so TT cannot know if you entered your information completely or correctly.   It is up to you to enter all of your information correctly and completely, and to check your tax return before you file it.  If you forget to enter some income, or enter it incorrectly, enter it in the wrong place, etc. then you may end up owing additional tax to the IRS and/or state.  TurboTax does not pay the additional tax you owe.   If TurboTax’s calculations were incorrect, and you owe penalties and/or interest, then TT will pay the penalties and interest.  The tax due is always owed by you, and must be paid by you.   If you need to enter a claim for the accuracy guarantee:   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-billing/submit-claim-turb...

Yes if they were installed in 2025 you can claim a portion of it for the solar credit.  You would need to split the costs of the solar versus the skylight.  Only the portion that is solar powered is eligible for The Residential Energy Credit.  The Skylight would be allocated to The Home Improvement Energy Efficient Credit. If you are installing them in 2026, then you would not be able to claim a credit as they ended on December 31, 2025.

You should qualify to make that change.  See also this TurboTax Help.   Maryland defines Part-year residents as follows:   Part-year residents are individuals who move into or out of Maryland during the year. Part-year residents must file a Maryland resident tax return. Part-year residents who have Maryland-source income while a nonresident must file both Form 502, Resident Income Tax Return, and Form 505, Nonresident Income Tax Return.   In TurboTax Online, in the Maryland state income tax return, at the screen We've Recommended a Residency Status, select Change Residency.

I did these things on my own and it didn't work.  When I called and asked for assistance I received the same advice and did it again and it still didn't work, then the agent just disconnected from the call when he had no other solution.  It's fine.  I went with H&R block and they are filed now.  Super disappointed though as I have been using turbo tax for years and the service I received this time was so lacking.
I received the OBBA qualified overtime from my employer. Where do I enter that info?
