My CPA has requested the fixed asset schedule for my previously filed return. How can I find it without the desktop software?
What was the change to the W-2?   The change might not be relevant enough to require you to amend.

You have not mentioned the adult child's age or whether they were a full-time student.   If they were NOT a student, and they were 19 or older at the end of 2025, and had over $5200 of income, they do not meet the criteria to be your dependent.   Qualifying relative They don't have to be related to you (despite the name). They aren't claimed as a dependent by someone else. They're a U.S. citizen, resident alien, national, or a Canadian or Mexican resident. They aren’t filing a joint return with their spouse. They lived with you the entire year (exceptions apply). They made less than $5200 in 2025 (not counting Social Security) You provided more than half of their financial support.

Our adult child lives with us and has for the entire year, we do provide more than half of the financial support, but she has made over the $5,200 qualifying relative gross amount, but still under the $15,750 to even file taxes.  Does all of the criteria have to be met?
Is it possible to add it to the 2025 tax return? or would I have to amend my 2024 taxes?

@JohnQT wrote: I don't understand how all the effort that M$ put into their Windows 11 "upgrade" has actually saved them any expenses.........I definitely won't be holding INTU..... The main source of revenue and growth for MSFT is from Azure and cloud and enterpriser services, not Windows (although licensing brings in a substantial amount).   Likewise, the main source of revenue and growth for INTU is NOT from TurboTax or any pro tax prep software.
My son is being claimed by me because he was a full time student. However, he has his own marketplace plan in his own name. I do not have marketplace insurance. Who does the 1095-A get filed under
Or if you have tax withholding taken out of SS.  Then you should file to get the withholding back and you should change your withholding to zero.

Go back to My Info on the left side of the online program screen.  Edit the dependent and carefully check your answers to the questions. Make sure you select them as your Child, that you selected that they lived in your home for the Whole Year, that they did NOT provided over one-half of their own support (You Did), that you indicated there was no one else in the household providing support to them, and that you did NOT check the box labeled Not valid for employment in the Social Security number section.   If all your answers are correct then delete them as a dependent and re-enter.

And there is one that can be confusing….Was at least half of child's expenses paid by CHILD? Usually is NO, Child didn't pay for more than half of their living expenses. It's not asking if you paid more. If you still can't get it, I would delete the child under My Info and enter them again. Did they turn 17? Has to be under 17 on Dec 31 to get the Child Tax Credit.

No. Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are two different types of accounts that allow one to pay qualifying health care costs with pre-tax dollars. The money for each type of account must be kept separate.   Here is a TurboTax article that discusses the differences between HSAs and FSAs: HSA vs. FSA: What Are the Differences?

@JohnQT wrote: I don't understand how all the effort that M$ put into their Windows 11 "upgrade" has actually saved them any expenses.  As I said previously, there are other ways to reduce technical debt that don't involve willy-nilly removing features and incorporating adware and pissing off their customers.  But I guess that's just me (and the OP of this thread, and everyone else I know that is being forced to move from Windows 10 to 11...) Please forgive me for being so dense...  It should be obvious (to anyone who clicks the Start menu button or Search icon on the taskbar in Windows 11 Home edition) exactly how Microsoft intends to build up their balance sheet with this version of Windows: "ad impressions".  There's nothing but Bing and MSN for as far as the eye can see.   Windows 11 Home edition is nothing but an adware platform for M$ to shamelessly  grab views and clicks (and that may be the least problematic feature of the OS).  NO THANK YOU.
The Business edition supports Windows 10 (but not Home & Business or other personal versions).

I see this same question from November 2025 posts but I am now trying to install Business on windows 10 and the message is still there recommending not to use it.  Please clarify: does it work or not? I need to get 1099’s done and I don’t have another computer to put this on.
