Is it possible that you entered the same 1099-R twice? You can check this by going to Wages and income summary in the Income section on the left side menu in TurboTax online. If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you click on the Personal tab, then Personal Income. On the Income Summary page, scroll down to the Retirement Plans and Social Security screen, and click Start or Update to the right of the IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) section. If you have a duplicate 1099-R on the Your 1099-R summary screen, you can click on the trashcan icon to the right of one of them to delete it.
If a withdrawal from your retirement accounts meets or exceeds your RMD requirement, you won't be getting assessed a penalty for not having withdrawn the correct amount of RMD. If you have multiple traditional IRA accounts, you aggregate the total amount of those IRA accounts to determine the RMD. You are allowed to withdraw from only one account to satisfy that RMD - the important thing is to be sure to withdraw at least the minimum amount to satisfy the RMD.
When you enter an 1099-R in TurboTax that has an RMD requirement, you get to a screen Let's get more information about your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). If the withdrawal is equal to the RMD, then you enter the Box 1 amount in the RMD due by Dec. 31, 2025 box. On the next screen How much of this distribution applied to your December 31, 2025 RMD? you would check The entire distribution applied to the December 31, 2025 RMD, then Continue. This will give TurboTax the information it needs to show that your distribution will be free of a penalty.

You may want to Delete Schedule E and step through the Property Profile again. Be sure to indicate property was 'converted from personal use to rental' (or vice versa) and on the following screen, number of days rental use. Don't enter a number for 'personal use' as you didn't use the property as a primary home during the rental period.
Then enter total mortgage interest and TurboTax will allocate based on number of rental days.
As far as the home screen displaying 'Not Started' or 'Needs Review', as long as your tax forms are correct, this should disappear when you complete the Income/Deductions sections, or close/re-open the program.
Here's more info on Personal/Rental Mortgage Interest Deduction.

Line 6e of Part I is where you enter the employer contribution if you are not using the Maximize function. If you are using the Maximize function, your employer contribution would be the amount on line 21 of Part III minus your regular elective and catch-up contributions. You generally allocate the net earnings first to elective deferrals and catch-up contributions, then to employer contributions, but it's possible do a different mix as long as the employer contribution does not exceed the amount on Part III line 13 and the regular and catch-up elective deferrals do not exceed the permissible maximums.

Agreed...but I've used Turbotax business each year for this return, and have only encountered errors in this year's distro. The gist is, I populate the grantor's core information (name, address, SSN) when prompted. When asked if the grantor will be signing the return, I choose "no", and populate with my information (trustee). Information that is then produced on federal and state (Pennsylvania) forms shows the grantor's information rather than mine in fiduciary segments. When those segments are manually edited, the printed forms revert back to original (incorrect) versions. Super buggy behavior. I've tried importing last year's file as a starting point and also entering from scratch, both with the same result. -J-

@Nathanlegionwilliams
A blank Box 16 (State distribution) on a 1099-R usually means no state income tax was withheld, you live in a state with no income tax, or the distribution was not taxable at the state level. Since TT requires a value, enter the BOX 1 (Gross Distribution or BOX 2a (Taxable Amount) into Box 16. No need to get an amended 1099-R.
If you believe the distribution is taxable to your state or state taxes were withheld for it you will have to read your state instructions and possibly contact the issuer of the 1099-R.
We cannot see your return so cannot verify which state.
