I just got the 2024 desktop version but cannot download due to this message...
"You can’t use this version of the application “TurboTax 2024” with this version of macOS."
I tried to update my Mac but due to the age of my Mac, I am unable to....Can I switch to the online without paying my money? Get a refund and switch to online?...Help!

You will be able to do those things---but online software is not yet available for 2024---that will be in several weeks--maybe sooner.
Seek a refund for the desktop software, and then when online opens, use online.

I'm sorry, you can't "switch" to the online version of TurboTax from our desktop product. But, you can request a refund since you cannot use the version. You can request a refund from this link:

And just a heads up on the 2024 TurboTax Desktop copy that you have already received:
The version of 2024 Desktop is not final, and will not be ready until filing season starts. There will be multiple updates as the IRS finalizes things up and 2024 amounts are entered into the program.
If you switch to the Online version you can still transfer from your 2023 Desktop return. How to transfer into the Online version. You need to have the prior year .tax2023 file on your computer. Expand the link if you used the CD/download last year........
