Yes, with the student loan interest deduction you will get an adjustment to your income regardless of whether it is business income or W2.

Student loan interest paid (Form 1098E) can be found in the Education section of Deductions and Credits.  You can enter this by using the search (or search topics if using desktop) - search for 1098E (make sure enter the E because there is another form for mortgage interest that is a 1098) and click the link.  This will bring you to the right section.

Or you can find the correct spot by using the step by step method below -

  • Log into your account and click Take Me to My Return
  • Click on the Federal Taxes (May say Personal) tab
  • Then Deductions and Credits
  • Scroll down until you see Education (you may have to click Check for More Credits and Show All to get the full list to appear)
  • Click on the Student Loan Interest Paid (Form 1098E) section
  • Enter your interest paid
