When entering the child as a dependent you will come to the screen labeled Less common situations check the box labeled Full-time student in 2024
An 18 y.o. does not have to be a full time student to be your dependent, so you may not get the FT student question in the personal info section. Later, in the educational expenses section of the TT program, you will be asked to identify her student status.
That option does not come up for me.
Thank you. I filled out the section and was not eligible for the educational tax break however should I not be able to chef the full child tax credit for as I did for my other 2?

The child must be under the age of 17 to be eligible for the Chile Tax Credit. Since the child is 18 they are eligible for the Other Dependent credit of $500.
No. The child tax credit ends the year the child turns 17. Now, you only get the $500 Other dependent credit, which is non refundable (it can only be used to reduce a tax liability).
