Is there a bug in Form 8863? Line 22, question 3 asks if the student received a 1098-T in 2019 with box 7 checked. No is checked, but is should be yes. How to change it?

I was never asked this question in the Easy Step and went through it again to be sure I didn't miss something. I'm not able to change it in the form and am concerned it will affect the numbers and make them incorrect.

It isn't an issue unless you claim that there was scholarships posted on the 2020 1098-T which were for a different year.

If Box 1 on the 2019 1098-T reported tuition that was paid by a scholarship that posted on the 2020 1098-T, that would be needed, but the schools have been directed to not report this way so it shouldn't be an issue.

If it is, and you report scholarships or payments made in contrast to what the 1098-T reports, the TurboTax program will then ask you about that.
