Turbo Tax Deluxe is not letting me file using our son's education deduction from the University of British Columbia, Filer's Federal ID 00-8369000. It keeps rejecting the ID number. I know it is correct and a valid deduction from an eligible institution.. This is what our H&R Block advisor used for the last few years. I've spent 3 days inputting my information into this bugged system. Please help.

It looks like H&R Block used a generic or "dummy" number, which TurboTax does not allow. Real federal IDs do not start with 00.
However, you are right that University of British Columbia is a qualifying institution.
I was able to find that their real federal ID is 98-6001255. Please try this number in TurboTax and let us know if you continue to have any issues.
Yes, it worked. Thank you!
