Does anyone know why the system is showing the correct age for one of my son's but not the other (yes, birthdates are correctly entered)?

You do realize that it uses their age at the END of 2019, right? Birthdays they just had in 2020 do not count yet.

I entered the Control Number in Box D correctly. I continue to get a red triangle and a prompt saying 'Make sure this info exactly matches what's in box D, incldg spaces'
