Click on Federal Taxes, then Deductions & Credits, then scroll down the page to Education and click "Start" next to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T). Then follow the prompts. TurboTax will ask you to input her 1098-T information (she should have received this form from her school).
After the entry screen for the 1098-T, continue and you'll come to the screens for Additional Education Expenses such as books, classroom supplies and equipment. This is where you'll enter her books & supplies.

Turbotax won't let me enter my daughter's 1098-T info because it says my AGI is over $180,000. I don't even get the option of entering it. But, I need to enter the 1098T, since TurboTax is charging taxes on my 529 distribution. Help please!
When you see the mesage, You Can't Claim Tuition and Other Fees, just go to the bottom of the page and continue. You can still enter the 1098-T.
