Can I allocate all my student loan deduction (2500) to one state (NY), if I paid most of interest while in this state to qualify me for this 2,500?

I lived in NYC Jan-August 28, 2019 and paid about 9,300 in student loan interest while NY resident

I was a Texan resident from Aug 30, 2019 to Dec 31 and paid ~1,100 in student loan interest while Texan resident.

In the allocation part:

"Enter any federal deductions attributable to the period of your New York State residency":

May I allocate the entire 2,500 deduction for NY? Since the 9,300 I paid in NY would have already qualified me for the 2,500 deduction.

Q. : Can I allocate all my student loan deduction (2500) to one state (NY)?

A. Yes,  since you paid at least that much, while a NY resident.
