My wife was a resident of Fla in 2016 however, she passed away on 05/31/16 is she considered a resident of Fla on 12/31/16. Answer on Tax form required a Yes or No

You would answer a Yes, she was a resident of the state for the entire year.  There are also boxes to check indicating that she passed away during the year and to enter the date of passing.  You will be able to file your tax return as Married Filing Jointly for the year of a spouse's passing.
