Why do I have to fill out Schedule C: 1099-NEC when I do not have a spouse nor business?

completecheck(tm) won't let me advance without reaching a screen that reads "Ok, let's get some details from your spouse's 1099-NEC." At no point in my forms have I listed a spouse. Legally single.

There have been linking issues with the 1099-NEC.  Click here for filing options with this error.  You can also check our forms listing and deleting any 1099-NEC in TurboTax

  • Go to Tax Tools,
  • Tools,
  • Delete a Form.
  • Find the 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC and delete it.
  • Then Click Back
