WHEN AN LLC is dissolved AND IT IS IN A DIFFERENT STATE FROM MY PLACE OF RESIDENCE, SHOULD I USE THE LLC ADDRESS WHEN I FILE AN EXTENSION?

THIS IS A TWO PERSON LLC AND THE OTHER MEMBER IS REFUSING TO GIVE ME ACCESS TO THE TAX INFORMATION SO THAT I CAN FILE THE TAXES.  I WAS ADVISED BY TURBO TAX TO FILE THE RETURN WITH THE BEST INFO I CAN FIND EVEN IF YOU MUST RECREATE THE RECORDS.  I DID THIS BY USING LAST YEAR'S EXPENSES.

IF I FILE THE EXTENSION WITH THE LLC NAME IN CARE OF MY HOME ADDRESS, WILL I HAVE TO PAY TAXES IN THE STATE OF MY RESIDENCE SINCE I RESIDE IN A DIFFERENT STATE?

I WAS GOING TO FILE AN EXTENSION SO I CAN CONTACT AN ATTORNEY.

Use the official address of the LLC when filing the extension.

The issue you may have is any correspondence received will go to that LLC address so talk to an Atty soon to help get this worked out.
