Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

What is box 14?! I have no idea what the virtual assistant is rambling on about?! I mailed taxes in June 2nd, 2024, and it's just says " Pending? "

What would I possibly need to fix with box 14, when it's blank on both w2s? I restarted the taxes a few times, because It said I qualified for the EIC? I have no idea what's going on, at all. Heeeeelp meee?!

TurboTax has no information on a mailed tax return.

If you are getting some type of message from TurboTax, just disregard.

It will take the IRS a minimum of 4 weeks after receiving the mailed tax return before it starts to be processed.

Check the IRS tax refund website for the status of a federal tax refund - https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund

There are a lot of boxes and a lot of various forms and schedules on a tax return, so no one here knows where the box 14 you are referring to would be.   If you are asking about box 14 on a W-2:

Box 14

If you have other tax information that doesn’t fit into the other W-2 Boxes, your employer may use Box 14 to report these items. Such examples include state disability insurance taxes withheld, union dues, uniform payments, health insurance premiums deducted and more.

If you are referring to box 14 of something else---you need to explain what you are doing.

If you mailed your tax return in early June, not sure why you are trying to "restart" your taxes.  What are you trying to do?  You cannot file again. You simply have to wait for the IRS to process the return you mailed in.  Mailed tax returns take longer to be processed.  It usually takes at least four weeks for a human to even open the envelope you mailed the return in.  Then they have to enter it into the system.  Once it has been entered into the system, you can track your refund on the IRS refund site.  If you were eligible for earned income credit, it would have been added to line 27 of your Form 1040 automatically and will part of the total amount of your refund.

Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
