The program for Home and Business in 2015 was changed to Self-Employment for 2016 using the TurboTax online editions. There may be some unexpected difference between the two programs when the 2015 tax data was transferred to the 2016 edition. Or the questions being presented are not taking you to the correct section of the program.
Regardless, to access the Schedule F when using the Self-Employed online edition -
Type in schedule f, profit or loss from farming in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Then click on Jump to schedule f, profit or loss from farming
If you continue to find issues where the program is taking you through Schedule C instead of where you need to be on Schedule F, contact TurboTax support and speak directly with a support agent about these issues. Support is closed for the holiday and will re-open on Tuesday, 01/03/17.
