@amurahar , are you four US citizens or Permanent Residents ( Green Card)? How did you file for 2019 ? Is your family ( wife and children ) here with you in the USA ? Are you on work visa ? Which country are you from ?
From your post you appear to have filed jointly ( with your wife) and have two dependents -- your are NOT head of household for tax purposes and your wife cannot be your dependent ( for tax purposes ). You also seem to have received the Economic Stimulus as if you were single -- therefore all my questions.

FYI - a spouse is never a dependent. So you filed Joint with 2 dependents? Head of Household is a special filing status for unmarried people or people that live apart from their spouse.
When you filed it asked how much you got for the first 2 Stimulus payments. If you didn't get the first one did you enter 0? Do you have anything on your tax return 1040 line 30? If you are married you should have gotten 2400 for the first one and 1200 for the second one plus extra for any dependents under 17. Did you get married in 2020?
The 3rd $1,400 will be reconciled on your 2021 return next year.
@VolvoGirl , you are correct about the stimulus eligibility , except if the wife and the children are NRA and or do not have SSN.
Back to the return ... do you have the $1200 on line 30 of the form 1040? If so the missing amount is included in your refund or reduced your balance due if you answered the stimulus question correctly in the interview .
