If you have expenses resulting from your self employment income, you must upgrade to the Self Employed version using the online product to be able to enter the expenses. If you only have income and no expenses, it can be entered using Deluxe. You can use any version of the CD/download product to enter both income and expenses. You will get more help using the Home & Business version.
You enter the 1099-MISC in the business section or anywhere you can enter a 1099-MISC. Type 1099-MISC in the search box and click on jump to 1099-MISC in the drop down box.
