As long as the forms are updated and available on 2/24/2022 per the IRS forms availability list, you will be able to complete your return and e-file.
While I appreciate your answer, it is less than I hoped for in terms of e-file confirmation. I need to carry forward a foreign tax credit from 2020 which requires that **NEW IRS** Form 1116 Schedule B be completed along with the usual Form 1116 to document the carryforward. The link provided in your response shows that Form 1116 and Form 1116 AMT will be available on 2/24/2022. It does not specifically list the new Form 1116 Schedule B but is may be that it is a component of the Form 1116 available 2/24/2022? If Form 1116 Schedule B is not provided by TurboTax, I will need to download / complete the form provided by the IRS and mail the return rather than e-file. This is obviously an undesirable outcome that competitors like H&R have already acknowledged will be required. Answering the question of whether TurboTax will support the **NEW IRS** Form 1116 Schedule B and e-file of same seems to require a more detailed response than the one provided. Thanks again and please advise.
Sorry to be abrupt but a simple answer is needed. Will the (now 3/3, was 2/24) release of form 1116 include Schedule B and be compatible with e-filing? I have the same situation where need to carry forward and no plan to paper file with the IRS backlog. If not, how do I apply for refund of this product so I can change to olt.com which has this functionality and costs way less? thanks
While the current version of Form 1116 does not show Schedule B, this may be the reason why the release date was pushed back. You may wish to view the form after the release date (using Forms Mode) and before you e-file your return to be sure Schedule B is included or attached. As you are probably aware, be sure to allow TurboTax to update each time you restart the program.

Wow, in three minutes the answer posted above was edited and changed from "Yes, according to this Forms Availability List for TurboTax CD/Download, Form 1116 and related schedules will be e-filed with your return once the form is released" to the "non-answer" answer posted above. I don't care what caused the schedule slip and am aware I can look after the fact and see if form 1116 Schedule B is really attached. I'll make it easy since a number of paying customers have asked the same question and received a non-answer. Simply put an "X" in the appropriate blank.
_____ the 3/3 release of TTax download/CD form 1116 WILL include Sched B and ability to e-file
OR
_____ the 3/3 release of TTax download/CD form 1116 WILL NOT include Sched B and ability to e-file
Well, I guess nobody had the courage to fill in X above so here is latest as of 2/25/22.
The TurboTax desktop update now says 1116 Schedule B will NOT be supported for e-file.
Form 1116 Sch B, Foreign Tax Carryover Reconciliation Schedule
Print: 03/31/2022
E-file unsupported
Poke around a bit on the internet and you can find alternatives which are much less expensive. Here is one from this forum.
I have the 3/3/2021 update but no schedule B for 1116, so no file. Will this be corrected?
