RMD Question:

Spouse turned 72 in November 2022, and thus wasn't required to take an RMD until April 1, 2023.  Thinking we would be in a lower bracket without the RMD on 2022 taxes, we took advantage of the delay.

Now, it appears we would fit into the same bracket with her RMD on our 2022 return.

For 2023, we will definitely move to the top bracket so could actually benefit a bit by putting this RMD on our 2022 return.

Is this a possibility.  Google isn't much help and I've always received quick and accurate help from this community.

Basically, question is: Since this IS technically a 2022 RMD, is it possible to add it to 2022 income though it wasn't actually received in 2022?

Thanks in advance!
