Since calling to support is no help and the communication from Intuit is too vague and not transparent in giving us the truth, it may be time to shop around. For example why some people were able to submit a return 2-3 weeks ago with schedule C attached by from the last update we are now not able to.
I email the CEO to ask what is going on and hope he can get the right team on this or else if this last until mid February we all have to get a refund and go buy another product. I guess its time to research which product is better H&R Block or Tax Slayer.
I been using Turbo Tax for like two decades with Schedule C and E-file with no issues. I hate to use another product cause TT has always been excellent. Fingers crossed hopefully Mr. Goodarzi sees my email or else he going to lose a lot of impatient (us) Small Business Customers.
I actually talked to an Intuit rep last week and was told that it would be resolved by today, Jan 29th because the IRS was still finalizing forms and blah blah blah...
When I mentioned it last week, I did the research and if the Schedule C has a gain, it will go through, a loss and it wont...
So as far as I am concerned, it is a bug
This is kind of a crazy response.
Why does it matter?
Because TurboTax says the form is ready when it obviously is not. Only gets rejected with a loss and not a gain so it is a bug.
Period.
The Review tab shows that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the return...It isnt until you go to EFile that it tells you that there is a form that you can not efile in the return.
The reason why the "Others" have been accepted is because those Schedule Cs showed a gain and not a loss.
Only the Schedule Cs with a loss are not going being allowed to be efiled...
Absolute BUG.
Typical standard canned answer that has absolutely nothing to do with the issue we are experiencing.
Just give us a date on when the "Bug" will be fixed and we can move on with our lives.
My Schedule C shows a gain and I cannot e-file either. I believe that it is a more general Schedule C bug.
Same issue. If you go to the "Forms" view you will find form 7206 is Marked "DO NOT FILE" at the top. That also occurs on Form 8936. I am checking all of the other forms for this stamp.
I am having the same issue.. I tried to file my sons taxes last night and it wouldn’t E file.
all because of that Schedule C for DoorDash. ( if i take it out it lets me). I called turbo tax and he had issues getting into my computer.. this is ridiculous. I also have the Home and Business version. Let’s hope they find a fix before I do mine..
All of the answers are not lies, why would you say that!. Attempted to file on 1/29/24 and spoke with TurboTax. They have a glitch on the DESKTOP TT. Before you start calling people liars get your facts straight. I spent 55 minutes on with TT and TT supervisors. Houston... they have a problem
Yes, they have a glitch with the desktop version of TT they are aware but don't seem to be in a rush to fix this. I spoke with them for almost an hr yesterday
Sir this is in reply to your unexcused comment. People that are lying and getting hopes are the ones that are the problem. If you dont know what you are talking about then dont say anything. I know for a fact that alot of people here dont know the difference between a glitch in the software and a glitch in their filing. I dont have to explain myself to you but I will. A lady the other day say that it was because of having qualified income, that is not true, because my schedule C showed a loss, that isnt true either. i found the perfect solution. I purchased HR Block. I filed today. Good buy peice of **bleep** TurboTax you were good while you were. YOU HAVE OUT LIVED YOUR USEFULLNESS!!
AT THE END OF THE DAY WE HAVE TO DO WHAT IS WRITE FOR US NOT ANYONE ELSE.
Omg. I was about to do the same thing. Just buy the H&R software.. I’m on the phone with Turbo tax now.. I told her it’s a real big issue everyone is talking about it online.. she said she will call me back.. lol.
You are right on point. Anytime you call, no one is even aware of all the inputs on the Community forum. And BTW, it is not only if you show a gain as I show a a loss for at least it shows a Zero on my C schedule.
I was told on the phone last night by customer service that my state isn’t accepting schedule C until the 31st. Now I’m so confused
