Ok.........so I'm one of those anxiety people.
I sell on amazon a bit, and I lost my sole proprietor SS-4 years ago and have too much anxiety to call the IRS and get a new one (I know fun anxiety disorders)
I recently had to fill out a W9 for Amazon.
So......I put my full legal name let's say it was "Donald Smith"
However I for some reason think my SS4 was for "Don Smith Photography" etc....
So my W9 I put in my legal name "Donald Smith" and Amazon said "Verified Tax ID"..........
However I still have anxiety that for some reason my sole proprietor EIN was in the name of "Don Smith Photography"
So when they issue the 1099 it might get rejected since I used my legal name to verify the EIN?
However I looked at Past 1099's I have received, and it showed "Don Smith Photography"..as the person on it..... yet Amazon's tax W9 would only let me use full legal name as a sole proprietor with EIN.........
So yeah.......I guess it passed "TIN Matching" .....but maybe they TIN match either or..........
Just worried a year from now I will get some big issue or something........because I said Donald Smith on my EIN vs the Donald Smith Photography ...
Losing that SS4 was not a great thing........groan.

There is no need for concern. As long as you are reporting the income on your tax return you should be fine. You are not required to enter the 1099-NEC to include the income on your tax return. Although this is a convenience to assist in preparing your own return, it is not a requirement.
The IRS does a name and EIN match using the first four letters of the business name generally.
You can choose to enter this as a cash payment of business income by selecting Other self-employed income, includes 1099-K, cash, and checks (if you choose this, delete the 1099-NEC).
You NEVER need to enter in the 1099 itself for self-employment at all. The program does this for your use only since the IRS only gets a total of your income and not all the 1099s info you might enter.
Yes, my main question I guess is I passed verification on the Amazon Seller W9 tax interview.
Using my EIN and my full legal name (Ein for sole proprietor) but for some reason I think filled out the original EIN......as "Don Smith Photography" ....not "Donald Smith" my legal name.
So I worry that even though it passed TIN Match I guess? that it will get rejected once Amazon creates a 1099 and send it to them based on my EIN?
It will not be rejected for that reason. When Amazon sends the 1099 to the IRS has no affect on whether your return will be accepted or rejected. Your business name is already in the IRS system. If you add the income as suggested then you will not be required to complete a 1099-NEC in the software.
It takes one to two years for the IRS to actually attach that document to your tax return. Keep the 1099 in your files with your tax return should you need to show that it was included later.
